Arthur Miller, 89, of 3113 County Road 330, Fostoria, died at
11:36 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001 at Blanchard Valley Regional
Health Center, Findlay.
Mr. Miller was born April 6, 1911
in Wood County to Harley and Maude (Billingsly) Miller. He married
Oletha Pearl Hottle on June 12, 1937, and she died Oct. 7, 1992.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs.
Carl (Lana K.) Dickman, Fostoria; a son, Lamar H. of Fostoria;
six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lucille
Winters, Lansing, Mich.
He was preceded in death by two
brothers, Harold and Russell.
Mr. Miller was a retired Washington
Township farmer.
He was a member of Enon Valley
Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be held at
11 a.m. Saturday at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, Findlay,
the Rev. Tom Everett officiating. Burial will be in Knollcrest
Gardens, east of Findlay.
Visitation will be held from 6-9
p.m. today at the funeral home.

Nighswander,
Dorothy
Dorothy M. Nighswander, 87, Tiffin,
died at 3:15 p.m. Jan 15, 2001 at Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.
She was born July 31,1913 in Fostoria
to Gaylord and Eva (Dillery) Russel.
She married Vaughn W. Nighswander
in 1933 in Fostoria and he died Aug. 25, 2000.
Surviving are two sons, allen Nighswander,
Tiffin; Alton Nighswander, Fostoria; seven grandchildren and one
great-great-grandchild.
She was proceded in death by two
brothers, Earl Russell and Eugene Russell
Mrs. Nighswander was a homemaker
and a farmer.
She was a member of Fort Seneca Community
United Church of Christ, Eastern Star Chapter 189, Farm Bureau
and the Farm Women's Club.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday
at Turner-Engle Funeral Home, Tiffin, the Rev. Barry Bordenkircher.
Burial will be in Pleasant Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. Wednesday
at the funeral home.

Meyer, Louis J.
Farmer/Union Carbide retiree
Louis J. Meyer, 88, a residentof the Independence
House, Fostoria, died at 3:25 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, in
Fostoria Community Hospital.
He was born Aug. 12, 1912, in Ottawa, Ohio,
to Bernard F. and Wilhelmina J. (Rieman) Meyer. His wife, Florence
E. (Klausing) Meyer, whom he married Nov. 24, 1938, in Leipsic,
Ohio, died May 16, 1989.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald L.and Thomas
E. Meyer, both of Fostoria; three daughters, Nancy A. Meyer
of Fostoria, Janet L. Meyer and Patricia S. Norris, both of
Columbus; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two
brothers, Ralph Meyer of Toledo and Bernard Meyer of St. Joseph,
Mich.; and two sisters, Freda Schmenk of Sandusky and Harriet
Lucke of California.
Also preceding him in death were three brothers,
Oscar, William and Franklin Meyer; and a sister, Phyllis Riepenhoff.
Mr. Meyer, a retired lifelong farmer, retired
in 1974 from the Union Carbide (now National Electrical Carbon)
in Fostoria. He also served as a former police officer in Ypsilanti,
Mich.
He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church
and an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus Council
1197 Third degree, both of Fostoria.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at
10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, where
the rosary will be recited at 10 a.m.. Burial will be in the
parish cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday
in the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a Christian wake
service will be at 8:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Community Hospice Care,
Seneca County.
Neikirk,
Jeremiah
Retired race horse trainer
Jeremiah Neikirk, 94, died at 11:50 a.m. Friday,
Jan. 26, 2001, in the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, 725 Columbus
Ave., Fostoria, where he resided.
He was born May 12, 1906, in Republic, to Lester
and Laura (Cole) Neikirk. In June 1932, in Monroe, Mich., he married
Helen Lucille Brendle, who preceded him in death March 17, 1985.
Survivors include: a son, William L. Neikirk of
Las Vegas, Nev.; a daughter, Donna J. Reiter-Best of Oregon, Ohio;
five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were a great-grandchild;
two brothers, Ray and Dale Neikirk; and two sisters, Ruth Neikirk
and Goldie Ballreich.
Mr. Neikirk, a former Seneca County farmer, also
was a self-employed race horse trainer, retiring in 1980.
He was a member of the National Trotters Association.
The service will be at 11 am. Saturday in the
Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. Interment will be in Fountain
Cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral
home.

Harold R.
Harold R. "Mickey" McKinnon, 74,
of 144 Cleveland Ave., Carey, died at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, Feb.
24, 2001, in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
He was born May 7, 1926, in Carey,
to the late Ralph and Inez (Stork) McKinnon. On Jan. 29, 1949,
in the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, Carey,
he married Betty J. Rex, who survives.
Other survivors include: two sons,
Ronald of Carey and James of Burnet, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. William
(Shirley) Straley of Paulding; seven grandchildren; and three
sisters, Mrs. Frank (Mabel) Anast of Findlay, Rita Cupp of Carey
and Mrs. William (Irene) Hunter of Fostoria.
Also preceding him in death were
two infant sisters, Helen and Janet McKinnon.
Mr. McKinnon retired in 1989 after
42 years of service from the National Lime and Stone Co. in Carey.
He had worked as a safety foreman for the past 25 years.
A World War II U.S. Navy veteran,
having served in the Pacific Theatre, he was a member of American
Legion Post 344 and the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic
Church, both of Carey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be
at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation
Catholic Church, with the Rev. Benjamin Knopp OFM Conv., as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Carey.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. today
in the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, where the rosary
will be recited at 2 p.m.

Tiffin homemaker
Mabel L. Might, 94, formerly of 620 S. Washington
St., died at 12:40 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, in the Autumnwood
Care Center, where she had resided since July 1986.
She was born Feb. 11, 1907, in Fostoria, to William
and Emma (Smith) Wolf. On June 11, 1924, in Monroe County, Mich.,
she married Millard Might, who is deceased.
Survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. James (Phyllis)
Miller of Tiffin; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren
and a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Mrs. Ralph (Wilhemina)
Costello of Laguna Hills, Calif.
A son, Jack Might; and three brothers, also preceded
her in death.
Mrs. Might, a Fostoria High School graduate, was
a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist
Church.
The Rev. Gail Angel will conduct the 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday service in the Turner-Engle Funeral Home. Burial will
be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour before the time of
service Wednesday at the funeral home.

CAREY -- Clarence E. "Geno" Myers Sr., 78, of
235 Clay St., Carey, died at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, 2001 at
St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
He was born Sept. 23, 1922 in Salem Township,
Wyandot County to Harry E. and Sarah Caroline (Carr) Myers.
He married Mary A. Kitzler on Jan. 25, 1947 at Our Lady of Consolation
Rectory, Carey, and she survives.
Also surviving are seven sons, Donald, Clarence
E. Jr., Dwight "Ike," Harry and Tom, all of Carey; Robert "Ed"
of Seville, Spain; David of Findlay; three daughters, Mrs. Pat
(Janice) Doran and Julia Galvin, both of Carey; Mrs. Ronald
(Nancy) Schumm, Fostoria; 29 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren;
a brother, Ralph of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Elsie Roynon, Fillmore,
Calif.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild; three
brothers, Forrest, Russell and Thomas; a sister, Edith Donelson.
Mr. Myers retired in 1987 after 47 years at
Porcelain Products, Carey.
He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater
during World War II.
He was a member of VFW Black-Lamberjack Post
3759, Carey.
A service of remembrance will be held at 2 p.m.
Thursday at Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey, the
Rev. Conrad Sutter OFM Conv. officiating. Burial will be in
St. Mary's Cemetery, Carey, where military rites will be conducted.

McHaffie, Linda Diane
Allied Signal retiree
Linda Diane McHaffie, 53, died at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday,
Feb. 27, 2001, at her home at 110 Lincoln St., Bloomdale.
She was born Aug. 27, 1947, in Fostoria, to Claris
"Whitey" and Cleopha "Corky" Rosier. They survive in Fostoria.
On Aug. 24, 1974, in the High Street United Methodist Church,
Fostoria, she married Alvin E. "Red" McHaffie. He survives in
Bloomdale.
Other survivors include: a son, Scott A. McHaffie
of Bloomdale; a stepson, Scott E. McHaffie of Mt. Cory; and a
brother, Larry W. Rosier of Fostoria.
Mrs. McHaffie, a 1965 graduate of Fostoria High
School, where she played in the band, retired in July 1999 after
25 years as an assembler at the Allied Signal (now Honeywell)
in Fostoria.
She was a member of the Foxy Four Square Dance
Club and volunteered for BCIA, both of Bloomdale.
The Rev. Dwight Norris will be the officiant at
the 11 a.m. Saturday service in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria.
Interment will be in Weaver Cemetery, Bloom Township.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at
the funeral home.

He was born Oct. 8, 1934 in Lima
to George and Leora M. (Weaks) Miller. He married Helen F. Miller
on June 8, 1953 in Angola, Ind., and she survives.
Also surviving are three sons, William
E. of Broad Brook, Conn.; R. Scott of Risingsun; David S. of Tampa,
Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Jennifer) Laubhan, Irving, Texas;
Mrs. Leonard (Lisa) Novelli, Bloomfield, Conn.; seven grandchildren;
four great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard A. of Dayton.
Mr. Miller was a self-employed insurance
agent for 20 years. He also had worked at Fostoria Concrete for
18 years, and raised Wiemeraner dogs.
He served in the U.S. Marines during
the Korean War.
He was a member of American Legion
and High Street United Methodist Church, both of Fostoria, and
Wiemeraner Club of America.
He was a 1952 Fostoria High School
graduate.

Mr. Nye died at 10:55 p.m. Thursday,
March 8, 2001 at his residence.
He was born Nov. 8, 1931 in Bloomdale
to Byron W. and Laura (Welly) Nye. He married Clara C. Bentz on
June 6, 1953 at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, and she survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Michael
of Van Buren; Bill and Dave, both of Bloomdale; three daughters,
Sue Ensminger, Findlay; Jan Nye, Fostoria, Linda Wolfe, Bloomdale;
11 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ray (Jean) Bowman, Fostoria.
He was preceded in death by two brothers,
Robert and Edward; two sisters, Betty Feehan, Joan Kramb.
Mr. Nye was a Wood County farmer.
He served in the U.S. Army during
the Korean War.
He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic
Church and American Legion Post 888, Columbus. He was a former
member of Knights of Columbus, Fostoria.
He was a 1949 graduate of Bloomdale
High School.

74, a resident of St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria, will
be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria,

Cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation will be held two hours
before services Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Miller died at 8:24 p.m. Thursday,
March 22, 2001 at her residence.
She was born June 30, 1926 in Marion
to Charles and Bessie (Worthington) Ball. She married Jay Miller
on June 25, 1948 in Bowling Green, and he died March 20, 1999.
Surviving are two daughters, Natley
Peace and Mrs. Jeff (Doddi) Cramer, both of Fostoria; nine grandchildren;
eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Jezeroski, Toledo.
Mrs. Miller retired from Fostoria
Community Hospital's dietary department. She also was a waitress
at several area restaurants.
She was a member of Faith Tabernacle
Pentecostal Church of God, Fostoria; and volunteered at the Sharing
Kitchen for many years.

Cyril M. "Junior" Nye Jr., 77, formerly
of New Riegel, died at 2:35 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2001, in the
Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.
He was born March 9, 1924, in Alvada,
to Cyril J. and Germaine (Goshe) Nye Sr. His wife, Bernadine E.
(Nye) Nye, whom he married April 8. 1947, in Our Lady of Consolation
Catholic Church, Carey, survives in Fostoria.
Survivors also include: five daughters,
Mrs. Norman (Nancy) Boes of Fostoria, Mrs. James (Darlene) Jacoby
of Palm City, Fla., Mrs. Robert (Marilyn) Zender and Mrs. Don
(Margaret) Foster, both of Sycamore and Mrs. Michael (Wanda) Magill
of Tiffin; four sons, Robert D. Nye of Adrian, William M. Nye
of Melmore, Thomas E. Nye of Republic and Larry R. Nye of Carey;
29 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Carl
and Delbert Nye, both of Alvada, Donald Nye of New Riegel and
Richard Nye, also of Alvada; and six sisters, Mrs. Luke (Mary
Lou) Weinandy of Carey, Idella Reinhart of Fremont, Mrs. Lewis
(Eloise) Reinhart of Fostoria, Mrs. Eugene (Donna) Reinhart of
Alvada, Mrs. Ralph (Teresa) Szablewski of Tiffin and Mrs. Marvin
(Sharon) Hohman of New Riegel.
Two sisters, Berneda Lichtle and
Shirley Daniels, are deceased.
Mr Nye, an avid hunter and fisherman,
retired in 1987 as a mechanic from Shultz Motor Sales in Tiffin.
He was a member of the following:
St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel, a 14-year past president
of Sandusky River Coon Hunters, past governor of the New Riegel
Moose, Catholic Knights of Ohio Branch 52, New Riegel, 3rd Degree
Knights of Columbus, Frenchtown; Dad's VFW, Tiffin, and Pheasants
Forever of Seneca County. He was a former member of the Fostoria
United Sportsman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take
place at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Boniface Catholic Church, with
the Rev. Leonard Kistler C.PP.S. officiating. The rosary will
be recited at the church at 9:40a.m. Friday. Burial will be in
the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Thursday
in the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria. A Christian wake service
and CK of O memorial service will take place during a private
family visitation on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Lucy E. Maurer, 76, of 2801 S. Main
St., Apt. H-1, died Thursday, April 5, 2001 at Blanchard Valley
Regional Health Center.
She was born Jan. 18, 1925 in Seneca
County to John W. and Ida B. (Knepper) Good. She married James
J. Maurer on April 7, 1951, and they divorced. Surviving are three
sons, Martin and Brian, both of Seattle, Wash.; and James of Findlay;
a daughter, Susan Leonard, Findlay; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;
a brother, Dr. Lowell Good, Lakewood; and two sisters, Mrs. Ed
(Ann) Hansen, Huron; and Mrs. David (Lois) Zoll, Fostoria.
She was preceded in death by three
brothers, Duane, John and James Good; and a sister, Lulu K. Good.
Mrs. Maurer retired after 26 years
as a Findlay City Schools elementary teacher.
She was a member of Retired Teachers
associations of Hancock County and State of Ohio; First Lutheran
Church; Greater Findlay Area Emmaus Community; and Blanchard Valley
Regional Health Center Auxiliary. She was a BVRHC volunteer in
the Same Day Surgery Department, and worked in the Book Cellar
at Findlay-Hancock County Public Library.
Funeral services will be held at
11 a.m. Monday at United Church of Christ, Bascom, the Rev. Mark
Brodbeck officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery, Bettsville.
Visitation will be held from 2-4
and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home.

NUSSER, MARIANNE

Marianne E. Nusser, 71, of 843 N.
Main Street, died at 6:03 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2001, at St.
Catherine's Care Center.
She was born Nov. 4, 1929, in Fostoria,
to Caples Ash and Kathryn (Stafford) Warner. On July 15, 1950,
in Fostoria, she married James E. Nusser. He preceded her in death
on Dec. 14, 1976.
Survivors include: sons, James A.
and Robert K. Nusser, both of Fostoria; sisters, Barbara Wilder
of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Helen Perkins of Hutchinson Island, Fla.,
and four grandchildren.
Deceased also include a grandchild.
Mrs. Nusser, a homemaker, was a 1947
graduate of Fostoria High School, and had been employed at the
Gray Printing Co., and as a cook at the Good Shepherd Home, both
in Fostoria. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church.
Services will take place 11 a.m.,
Tuesday, at the Mann-Hare Funeral Home with the Rev. Branson J.
Hawkes officiating. Interment will be in the Fountain Cemetery.
Visitation is 10-11 a.m., prior to
the services, Tuesday, at the funeral home.

ALVADA -- Ethel B. Miller, 92, of W. U.S. 224,
Alvada, died at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2001 at Taylor House,
Findlay.
She was born Aug. 27, 1908 in Seneca County to
Henry and Treva (Myers) Heinze. She married Alfred C. Miller on
Nov. 28, 1929 in Fort Wayne, Ind., and he died Oct. 17, 1984.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald L. of Findlay;
and Roger D. of Risingsun; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren;
and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert H.;
a sister, Cleo Masters; and two brothers, Claire and LaVerne Heinze.
Mrs. Miller worked at Autolite & Screw Co.,
Fostoria. She was also a farmer and homemaker.
She was a member of West Independence United Methodist
Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for more than 25
years.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday
at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, the Rev. Lowell Reeder
officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, near West Independence.

He was born June 10, 1904 in Fostoria to Hobert
A. and Elizabeth M. (March) Myers. He married Cleo F. Elsea on
April 8, 1926 in Bloomdale, and she died Feb. 5, 1984. He then
married Helen Lucky on Dec. 6, 1986, and she died April 17, 1989.
Surviving are three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren;
and three step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne; a great-grandchild;
three brothers, Carl, Floyd and Glen; and four sisters, Ida Cardwell,
Bertha McCallister, Nora Smith and Awilda Myers.
Mr. Myers retired from Union Carbide Corp., now
National Electrical Carbon Corp.
He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene,
Fostoria; and a former member of Fostoria Beautification Committee.
He was a 1923 graduate of Arcadia High School,
and a member of its first football team.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday
at the church, the Rev. Russell Gumm officiating. Burial will
be in Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay.
Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Friday at
Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, and an hour before services
Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Neller died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, May 13,
2001 at her residence.
She was born Nov. 4, 1922 in Lansing, Mich. to
Richard Henry and Theda Irene (Myers) Perkins. She married the
Rev. Dale E. Neller on June 26, 1943 in East Lansing, Mich., and
he survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Wesley J. of Palm
Harbor, Fla.; and Steven L.R. and Timothy B., both of Fostoria;
two daughters, Mrs. Ken (Dathel Elaine "Day") Cottrill, Findlay;
and Mrs. Gary (Deborah D.) Dible, Fostoria; 16 grandchildren;
and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce
Perkins, and an infant brother. Mrs. Neller was a homemaker. She
was a member of Fostoria Assembly of God and an honorary member
of Trinity Assembly of God, Bradenton, Fla.

Samuel "Sam" E. Morehart, Sr., 60, died at 4:30
a.m. Friday, May 18, 2001 while working for Marathon Oil Company
at the Findlay Airport. He was born April 7, 1941 in Tiffin to
Robert C. and Gertrude Anna (Wise) Morehart, they are deceased.
He married his first wife, Yvonne Edwards in August of 1962, they
divorced. He married his second wife, Guana Bayless on July 9,
1999, and she survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Samuel E. Morehart
Jr. of Tiffin, and Robert M. Morehart of Norwalk; a step-son,
John L. Leaf of Fostoria; a daughter, Michelle L. Hoy of Tiffin;
two step-daughters, Mrs. Lana Halstead of McComb and Mrs. Lynda
Hicks of Forest; two brothers, Charles Morehart of Bucyrus and
Carl Morehart of Sandusky; five sisters, Pearl Bare of Tiffin,
Nancy Shaull of Findlay, Lucille Haugh of Findlay, Cora Garvin
of Fla., Louise Rock of Fostoria; and 11 grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Mary Ann Dowdy.

Norma Jane Myers, 72, of Bascom, died Friday,
May 25, 2001, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 27, 1928, in Springfield, MA.,
to Judge C.C. and Norma (Scott) McKay and both are deceased. She
married W. Howard Myers and they divorced. He survives in Prescott,
Ariz.
Survivors also include: a son, Carl F. Myers of
Houston, Texas; a daughter, Ginnie Stidham of Willard; and five
grandchildren.
A brother, David McKay, is deceased.
Mrs. Myers was a graduate of Fostoria High School
and attended Heidelberg College. She received an undergraduate
degree in education as well as master's degrees in remedial reading
and school psychology from Bowling Green State University.
She was a teacher and school psychologist for
more than 40 years, working at St. Joseph's High School in Fremont
1988-1999, the Fremont School District from 1963-1988, and Port
Clinton School District from 1957-1963. She continued a private
practice in psychology until her death. She was a former member
of First Presbyterian Church in Fostoria.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m., Thursday,
at the Mann-Hare Funeral Home in Fostoria.

Community Hospital.
She was born Aug. 31, 1929, in Perry Township.,
Wood County, to Edgar and Leona (Brobst) Layton, and both are
deceased. On Sept. 22, 1945, in Bowling Green, she married Chancie
McEntire. He died Nov. 1, 1992. On June 6, 1997, in Fostoria,
she married Green Hollin, and he survives in Fostoria.
Survivors also include: a son, Terry McEntire
of Fostoria; a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Sandy) Berrier of Fostoria;
a brother, Chester Layton of Newark, Ohio; two sisters, Ellen
Will of Phoenix, Ariz., and Jean Strong of Risingsun; four grandchildren;
and six great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Jess and Paul Layton, and two sisters,
Dorothy Layton and Helen Shaffer, are deceased.
Mrs. McEntire-Hollin retired as an assembler in
1978 from Bendix, having more than 30 years of service. She was
a member of Dillon Road Baptist Church in Fostoria, the Fostoria
Moose Lodge, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and the Fostoria
Garden Club.

She was born April 28, 1919 in Findlay to Forest
S. and Nettie O. (Sloan) Russell. She married Frank E. Monday
on May 27, 1940, and he died Jan. 17, 1997.
Surviving is a sister, Mary Cupp, Fostoria. She
was preceded in death by a brother, James Russell; and four sisters,
Irma Cupp, Lillian Snyder, Nellie Sheller and Ellen Trautman.
Mrs. Monday retired as a bookkeeper after 45
years with Clair Huber, Parker Lumber Co. and Findlay Equipment
Co.
She was a member and former elder of First Christian
Church.

Rex A. Mosher, 48 , of SR 12 in Fostoria, died
at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2001, at his home.
He was born Dec. 12, 1952, in Fostoria, to Robert
and Carolyn (Fisher) Mosher, and they survive in Fostoria. On
Sept. 6, 1975, in Waukesha, Wis., he married LuAnn Schwartz and
she survives in Fostoria.
Survivors also include: three sons, Kenneth, Peter
and Joseph Mosher, all of Findlay; and a brother, Larry J. Mosher
of White Cloud, Mich.
Mr. Mosher retired as owner and operator of Mosher
Construction in Fostoria. He was a 1971 graduate of Arcadia High
School and he completed his carpenter's apprenticeship at the
University of Wisconsin and District One Technical School in EauClaire,
Wis. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Findlay and
was a member of Local 1581 Carpenters Union in Napoleon.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Harrold-Floriana
Funeral Home in Fostoria. The Rev. Dan L. Young will officiate.
Burial will take place in Union Cemetery near West Independence.

Nov. 7, 1949, in Laredo, he married Maria L. Garcia and she survives.

Ledwedge. On April 11, 1953 she married Donald P. Meyers. He died
Dec. 3, 1998.
Surviving include: three sons, Timothy Meyers
of Fostoria, Terrance meyers of Iler and Ted Meyers of Toledo;
a sister, Julie Wasserman of Fremont; 8 grandchildren; and two
great grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Robert and William

On March 7, 1947, in Greenup, Ky., she married Robert D. Munoz.
He died Dec. 15, 1999.
Survivors include: two sons, Robert D. Munoz of
Shelby, N.C. and Mark Steven Munoz of Fostoria; three daughters,
Mrs. David (Gloria Ann) Bragg of Bay Village, Mrs. Robert (Christine)
Butler of Ida, Mich., and Mrs. Ron (Marcy Elaine) Allen of Atlanta,
Ga., a brother, Kenneth Malcolm Hollenbaugh of Boise, Idaho, and
13 grandchildren.
Mrs. Munoz was a 1946 graduate of Jackson Liberty
H.S. and received a Bachelors Degree in Education and Masters
Degree in Early Childhood Development from B.G.S.U.
She taught Kindergarten in the Toledo Public School
System and retired in 1993. She was a member of Rehoboth United
Methodist Church in rural Fostoria.

Mildred M. Mergenthaler, 100, of Fostoria, died
at 12:50 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2001, at Independence House in
Fostoria.
She was born Dec. 30, 1900, in Fostoria, to Frank
and Elizabeth (Schiefer) Serfoss. She married Charles Howard Mergenthaler
June 7, 1922, at Hope Lutheran Church in Fostoria and he preceded
her in death May 4, 1960.
Survivors include: a son, John R. Mergenthaler
of Fostoria; a daughter, Mrs. Victor (Joan) Hoover of Tiffin;
three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death also were a daughter, June
E. Stearns, and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Mergenthaler was a member of Hope Lutheran
Church in Fostoria and Hope 60 Club; Silver Cross Circle of Kings
Daughters; and was a member of Fostoria Women's Club. She graduated
from Fostoria High School in 1919 and received her teaching certificate
from State Normal College (BGSU) in Bowling Green. She taught
school in Hopewell Township.
She was head bookkeeper for 15 years at Gray Printing
in Fostoria and retired in 1965.
Services will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday at
Hope Lutheran Church in Fostoria, with the Rev. Dr. Larry W. Knigga
officiating. Interment will be in Fountain Cemetery in Fostoria.

died Friday morning August 3, 2001 at his home. He was born Aug.

Myers. On Aug. 14, 1944 he married Rita M. Reinhart, and she survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Robert S. and
Ronald J. Myers, both of Fostoria; a daughter, Mrs. Kim Heater
of Fostoria; a brother, Richard D. Myers of Fostoria; two sisters,
Mary Lou Heptner and Mrs. Barbara Waltermeyer, both of Las Vegas,
Nev.; 10 grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.

Mr. Myers was the president of Myers and Sons
Inc., his memberships included: a U.S. Army Veteran serving during
WW II in the 101st Airborne Division "Screaming Eagles" in the

Yvonne L. Main, 89, of Sycamore, died at 3:15
a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, in Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria.
She was born in Wyandot County, Jan. 21, 1912,
to Claire and Ida M. (Aldersperger) Shireman. She married W. Donald
Main on May 1, 1937, and he preceded her in death Oct. 7, 1973.
Survivors include: four sons, Donald E. Main of
Onekama, Mich., Ross A. Main of Fostoria, Kenneth A. Main of Bucyrus
and Robert K. Main of Peru, Ill.; a daughter, Metty Main of Prattville,
Ala.; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her death were her parents and two
brothers, Calvin and Cletus Shireman.
Mrs. Main attended Our Masters Chapel in Benton
and was a former member of Upper Sandusky's Moose Lodge. She was
a McCutchenville High School graduate and enjoyed crocheting and
woodworking.

Mr. Massillo died of a massive heart attack at
6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, 2001, while skydiving near Xenia.
He was born June 29, 1932, in Lima to Lawrence
J. and Glenda L. (Brewer) Massillo Sr. He married Paula M. Bastine
on March 17, 1956, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Rory T. of Ada; Kurt
L. of Van Wert; two daughters, Teri A. Massillo, Tucson, Ariz.;
Mrs. Randy (Michelle) Bishop, Fostoria; seven grandchildren; a
brother, Joe, in Wisconsin; and four sisters, Glenda Colburn,
in North Carolina; Amelia Shushok, in Michigan; Elaine Finnell,
in Mississippi; and Olivia LaJoie, Toledo.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary

Mr. Massillo was a self-employed building contractor.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean
War, serving as a B26 gunner in the 13th Bomb Squadron.

McAlevy on Oct. 24, 1937 in Fostoria, and he survives in Gahanna.

Mr. Michaels died Thursday morning, Sept. 6, 2001,
from a work-related accident in Seneca County, near Alvada.
He was born June 24, 1976, in Fostoria to Jeffery
G. and Linda (Reinhart) Michaels, and his father survives in Tennessee
and his mother in Findlay. He married Tammy L. Tasker on July
31, 1999, in Rock Solid Church of God, Kansas, Ohio, and she survives.
Also surviving are two brothers, Caleb and Logan,
both of Findlay; paternal grandparents Emmet and Pat Michaels
of Fremont; paternal great-grandmother Garnet Michaels, Fremont;
and maternal grandmother Bertha Reinhard, Kansas.
Mr. Michaels was a driver for Palmer Brothers
Concrete Inc., Fostoria. He was a member of Fostoria Eagles Aerie
430; and treasurer for Liberty Benton FFA.
He attended Findlay High School, and was a 1999
graduate of Terra Community College.

1, 1959 in Bairdstown, and he died July 8, 2000.
Surviving are a son, Mark of Bradner; a daughter,
Alice Curlis, Fostoria; a grandchild; a sister, Alice Burris,
Bairdstown; and three half brothers, Rick Wildman, Findlay; the
Rev. John Wildman, Marion; and Chuck Wildman, Mount Blanchard.
She was preceded in death by a son, Tim; and a
brother, Dave Wildman.
Mrs. Mullholand was a homemaker.
She was a 1959 graduate of Bloomdale High School,
and a member of Bairdstown United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday
at the church, the Rev. Paul Adler officiating. Burial will be
in Weaver Cemetery, near Bloomdale.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

Sandra L. McCool, 60, South Sandusky Street, died
at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001, in St. Vincent-Mercy Medical
Center, Toledo.
She was born Oct. 19, 1940, in Tiffin to Paul
and Anna (Steiner) Kleinhenz, who are deceased. She was formerly
married to Jerry Bentz, then later married Tom D. McCool on April
15, 1988, in Tiffin. He is deceased.
Surviving are a son, Steven Bentz of Tiffin; three
brothers, Jim Kleinhenz of Fostoria and Steve and Pete Kleinhenz,
both of Tiffin; two sisters, Mrs. David (Jeanette) Sisson of Avon
Lake and Sue Allen of Simi Valley, Calif.; a grandchild, Brooklyn
R. Bentz of Tiffin; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a 1958 graduate of Calvert High School
and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin.
he was a waitress for over 20 years at Wyme's
Restaurant in Tiffin, and also worked at the L&K restaurant and
Paul's Cafe, both in Tiffin.
She bowled in the Monday Morning league and also
Monday evenings at Gay Lanes, Tiffin. She enjoyed traveling to
Las Vegas, playing cards, gardening and being with her family.
The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in
St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rev. Art Newiadomski officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the
Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.
The rosary will be recited at 9:45 a.m. Saturday
at the church.

Kenneth L. Matz, 72, of East High St., Fostoria,
died at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 25, 2001, at Fostoria Community
Hospital.
He was born July 16, 1929, in Fremont to Kenneth
R. and Anna (Hampshire) Matz. They are deceased. He married Mary
Frances Flanagan on Dec. 15, 1951, in Jacksonville, Fla. She survives
in Fostoria.
Surviving also include: two sons, John and Kenneth
Matz, both of Fostoria; a daughter, Mrs. Greg "Barb" Garland of
Clarksville; a brother, Gerald Matz of Risingsun, and nine grandchildren.
Deceased include: a brother, Tom Matz and a sister,
Barbara Matz.
Mr. Matz retired as a Quality Supervisor from
RCA/GE in 1989 with 34 years of service. He was a member of Arcadia
United Methodist Church and a l947 graduate of Fostoria High School.

Mrs. McLaughlin died at 1:40 p.m. Saturday, Oct.
6, 2001, at Waters of Duneland Nursing Home, Chesterton.
She was born July 10, 1910, in Fostoria to Charles
and Pearl (Elsea) Sterling. She married Alford H. McLaughlin on
June 3, 1933, in Fostoria, and he died Nov. 2, 1999.
Surviving are a son, John of Fostoria; a daughter,
Mrs. Richard (Ann) Schaeffer, Long Beach, Ind.; five grandchildren;
12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Nelson
Sterling; and a sister, Lillian Ellerton.
Mrs. McLaughlin was a retired teacher, having
taught in Fostoria City, St. Wendelin and West Millgrove elementary
schools.
She was a 1927 graduate of Fostoria High School
and received her teaching certificate from Bowling Green Normal
School.
She was a member of High Street United Methodist
Church, Fostoria.

Freda M. Nederhouser, 74, formerly of 432 Ash
St., Fostoria, died at 12:28 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001 at
Alterra Clare Bridge in North Oaks, MN. She was born Dec. 6, 1926
to John and Flossie (Shoolroy) Phillips. On June 1, 1947 she married
Raymond C. Nederhouser. He preceded her in death.
Surviving include: a son, Cary R. Nederhouser
of Kailua, HI; a daughter, Mrs. Sharon K. Wandmacher of Circle
Pines, MN.; two brothers, Norman Phillips of Fostoria and Edwin
Phillips of Bettsville; and three grandchildren.

Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial at Scott Trinity Cemetery.

She was born in Fostoria O. She married John Orwig

Fla.; two daughters, Judith Reiser, Wauseon O, and Sally Orwig,
Largo, Fla., and five grandchildren.
A graduate of Fostoria High School, she was a
member of the Christ Presbyterian Church where she was in the
choir, and lay pastor and active in its women's association. She
attended Miami University, Oxford, and was a member of the Chi
Omega Sorority.

Oct. 19, 1944.

Stark of Fostoria; and two sisters, Mrs. James (Norma) Strausbaugh
of Findlay and Mrs. Garland (Bonnie) Smith of Fostoria.

LUTHER E.
Luther E. Moss, 86, formerly of 315 E. Edgar St.,
died at 5:20 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at St. Catherine's Care
Center.
He was born May 25, 1915, in Rawson to Bert E.
and Edna (Powell) Moss. He married Marcene D. Green on Aug. 5,
1940, and she died Aug. 23, 1992.
Surviving are a daughter, Darlene K. Grismore,
Findlay; a grandchild; and a brother, Lester B. of Findlay.
Mr. Moss retired from Great Lakes Sugar Company.
He formerly worked at Garwood Industries, and for 36 years at
National Carbon Works, Fostoria.
He attended College First Church of God.

Alice V. Nye, 72, of 3386 S. U.S. 23, Alvada,
died Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at her residence.
She was born March 22, 1929, in New Riegel to
Alfonse and Catherine (Reinhart) Schalk. She married Delbert J.
Nye on April 22, 1950, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel,
and he survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Leonard C. of Tiffin;
Edward D. of Carey; and Gary M. and Jayme A., both of New Riegel;
two daughters, Mrs. Gregory (Janice) Russell, Fostoria; and Mrs.
Matthew (Patricia) Theis, Findlay; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren;
five sisters, Rita Wurm, Mrs. William (Gervase) Craig and Mrs.
Joseph (Rose) Smith, all of Tiffin; and Irene Elchert and Marie
Scherger, both of New Riegel; and five brothers, George Schalk,
in Wisconsin; Simon Schalk, Carey; Florus Schalk, Tiffin; Raymond
Schalk, Findlay; and Arthur Schalk, New Riegel.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Bruno
Schalk.
Mrs. Nye was a homemaker. She was a 1947 graduate
of New Riegel High School.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church,
Alvada, and its Rosary Altar Society. A funeral Mass will be celebrated
at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Harry Cavanaugh officiating.

Janette J. Nissley, 64, of Honeymaple Lane, Toledo,
died at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, at her home.
She was born Dec. 30, 1936, in Fostoria, to Floyd
and Helen (Strausbaugh) Hoffman, and they are deceased. She married
Robert Ray and they were divorced. She later married Martin W.
Nissley on Jan. 6, 1978, in Fostoria. He preceded her in death
June 20, 2000.
She was a very kind and loving mother of six children.
Survivors include: a son, Robert D. Ray Jr. of
Toledo; five daughters, Janis Caunter of Toledo, Robyn Blackburn
of Bloomdale, Linda Roberts of Bowling Green, Cheryl Adelsperger
and Carold Lanker both of Fostoria; a sister, Rose Baney of North
Baltimore, 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death also include: a brother,
Donald Hoffman.
Mrs. Nissley retired in 1995 as Activities Director
and Pastoral Care Person at St. Catherine's Care Center in Fostoria.
She was a 1954 graduate of Fostoria High School
and a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Arcadia.
She was a member of the Fostoria Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Harrold-Floriana
Funeral Home in Fostoria. The Rev. David Bliss will be the officiant.
Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery in Fostoria.

ROBERT F.
Robert F. McKinnon, 77, of 502 W. Church St.,
Upper Sandusky, Ohio, died at 8:15 p.m. Thursday Nov. 15, 2001,
at his residence.
He was born Aug. 7, 1924, in Carey, Ohio, to the
late Ira F. and Anna M. (Derr) McKinnon. On Feb. 19, 1949, in
St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, Ohio, he married Dorothy C.
Reiter, who survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Roger McKinnon
of Findlay, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Stephen (Carol) McConnell
of Toledo, Ohio, Mrs. Stephen (Patricia) Gamby of Mt. Victory,
Ohio and Julie M. McKinnon of Toledo, Ohio; eight grandchildren,
a great-grandchild and a step great-grandchild; a sister, Sister
Roberta McKinnon of St. Francis Convent, Tiffin, Ohio; and a brother,
Aidan James McKinnon of Fostoria, Ohio.
Also preceding him in death were a son, Richard;
a sister, Oread Haferd and brothers, Richard, Howard and Gordon
McKinnon.
Mr. McKinnon was employed by Snyder Lumber Co.
in Carey, Ohio for 22 years as a finish carpenter and cabinet
maker. He retired from the family farm in 1999.
He had attended Our Lady of Consolation, Carey,
Ohio, but presently had attended St. Peter Catholic Church, Upper
Sandusky, Ohio. He was a member of American Legion Post 354-New
Riegel, Ohio and American Disabled Veterans. A World War II U.S.
Army Air Corp Veteran, he served as a staff sergeant in Northern
Africa 1943-45. He enjoyed woodworking, camping with the family,
playing cards and listening to classical music. He graduated from
Carey High School in 1947.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m.
Monday Nov. 19, in St. Peter Catholic Church, Upper Sandusky,
with the Rev. James Holmer officiating. Burial will be in St.
Peter Catholic Cemetery, Upper Sandusky, where New Riegel American
Legion Post 354 will conduct military graveside rites.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday Nov. 18 at
the Bringman Clark and Company Funeral Home, where a Biblical
wake service will be at 5 p.m. Sunday.

Charlene M. McClung, 63, of North Union Street,
Fostoria, died at 1:25 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at Medical
College of Ohio, Toledo.
She was born May 3, 1938, in Chicago, Ill. to
Henry and Helen M. (Gardner) Meyers. She married Ralph G. McClung
Sr. on Jan. 5, 1957, and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ralph G. Jr. and
Christopher L., both of Fostoria; two daughters, Mrs. Jess (Charlene)
Opperman, Columbus; Mrs. David (Donna) Buchholtz, Fostoria; and
three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Meyers;
two stepbrothers and five stepsisters.
Mrs. McClung worked at Home Window Co. from 1968-76.

NEUMAN, NORMA E.
Norma E. Neuman, 87, of Fostoria died at 12:05
a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, at Independence House in Fostoria.
She was born July 13, 1914, in Milan to the late
Louis and Louise (Horn) Behrens. She married W. Earl Neuman in
Monroeville on June 26, 1937. He preceded her in death on Oct.
28, 1999.
Survivors include: three sons, Richard A. Neuman
of McComb, Ronald E. Neuman of Nashville, Ind., and Rick J. Neuman
of Fostoria; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will take place at 1 p.m. Friday at First
Presbyterian Church in Fostoria. Interment will be in Maple Grove
Cemetery in Findlay.
Visitation is one hour prior to services at the

MESSMER, EDWARD I.
Edward I. Messmer, 86, of Fostoria, died at 11:45
a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, in Medical College of Ohio in Toledo.
He was born Sept. 7, 1915, in Upper Sandusky to
the late Elmer and Bertha (Remlinger) Messmer. He married Elizabeth
Meszaros on June 10, 1950. She preceded him in death on Feb. 18,
1979.
Survivors also include: fiancee, Betty McGirr;
two daughters, Mrs. Juan (Deborah) Velasquez of Bloomfield Hills,
Mich., and Denise Messmer of Chandler, Ariz.; a stepson, Alan
McGirr of Arlington, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Cathy McGirr of Fostoria;
three grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and a stepgreat-grandchild.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m.
Tuesday at the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey. Burial
will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Carey.

Francis N. "Dutch" Miller, 83, of 128 E. South
St., Fostoria, died at 6:20 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at Fostoria
Community Hospital.
He was born Oct. 19, 1918, in North Baltimore
to Anthony and Florence (Copp) Miller. He married Virginia F.
Lewis on Oct. 16, 1938, in North Baltimore, and she survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Roger Lee of Inman,
S.C.; Max Alan, in Minnesota; Jerry Richard of Los, Angeles, Calif.;
Francis Dean "Frank," in Maryland; a daughter, Mrs. Cecil (Mary
F.) Thompson, Fostoria; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren;
and five sisters.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and
three sisters.
Mr. Miller was a set-up man at Autolite (now Honeywell)
in Fostoria for 34 years.
He was a U.S. National Guard veteran.
He was of the Protestant faith.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday
at Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay.

Graveside services for Herbert H. Opitz, 68, of

Mr. Opitz died at 9:55 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2001,
at Fostoria Community Hospital.
He was born Feb. 19, 1933, in East Germany. He
married Helga Liefeld on Feb. 26, 1955, and she survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Anthony
(Martina) Kramb, Pemberville; Mrs. Matthew (Marnie) Medlock, Columbus;
five grandchildren; and a brother, Heinze, in Germany.
Mr. Opitz was a retired supervisor at Gray Printing,
Fostoria.

2001 at her residence.
She was born April 1, 1909 in Putnam County to
Otto N. and Jennie V. (Derickson) Barnes. She married Ray Kirkendall
in 1928, and they were divorced. She married Jay Needles in 1939,
and they were divorced.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James (Kathy) Giesey,
Fostoria; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 10
great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Howard
Barnes; a great-grandchild; andthree sisters, Oral Clevenger,
Ellaline Wolfarth and Anna Stiles-Muter.
Mrs. Needles retired in 1983 as a bookkeeper for
Gray Printing Co., Fostoria, after 55 years.
She was a member of New Hope Center, Fostoria.
She was a 1927 graduate of Lima Central High School.

62, of 101 N. Harrison St., Bloomdale, will be celebrated at 10:30

Mr. Nungester died at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec.
22, 2001, at his residence.
He was born March 21, 1939, in Van Buren to Virgil
F. and Eileen (Barringer) Nungester. His mother survives. He married
Patricia S. Piper on Feb. 16, 1963, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Christopher M. and
Eric F., both of Bloomdale; a daughter, Amy L. Blakely, Perrysburg;
five grandchildren; a brother, Kevin of Bloomdale; and three sisters,
Luella Henning, Bairdstown; Phylis Kerr, Bowling Green; and Vivian
Hackworth, Findlay.
Mr. Nungester retired as a finish grinder at Atlas
Crankshaft Co., Fostoria, after 30 years. He also was a custodian
at Wesley United Methodist Church, Fostoria, for three years.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1958-1960.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church,
Cygnet.
