Funeral services for Donald E. Dieter,
67, of 337 Summit St., Fostoria, will be held at 11
a.m. Saturday at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, the
Rev. Gus Christo-Baker officiating. Burial will be in
Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and
7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Dieter died at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday,
Feb. 14, 2001 at his residence.
He was born Aug. 10, 1933 in Risingsun
to Otto K. and Glenolia E. (Todd) Dieter. He married
Martha J. Strong on April 2, 1954 at St. Paul's Church,
Risingsun, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, James D.
of Dayton; and Douglas E. of Burlington, Ind.; a daughter,
Mrs. Thomas (Kimberly Ann) Butcher, Fostoria; six grandchildren;
nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Robert
(Elaine) Holqueist, Titusville, Pa.
Mr. Dieter retired in 1993 after nearly
40 years as a laborer at Union Carbide (now National
Electric Carbon), Fostoria.
He graduated from Risingsun High School
in 1951.
He was a member of Scott Trinity United
Methodist Church, Risingsun, where he was a Sunday school
superintendent, lay leader and member of Pastor Parish
Relations committee.

Chambers,
Neva M.
Neva M. Chambers, 78, of US 23, Fostoria,
died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at Fostoria
Community Hospital.
She was born April 17, 1922, in Rudolph
to William and Anna (Stump) Carmean. She married Merle
G. Chambers on Aug. 11, 1940, in Risingsun and he died
June 16, 1994.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs.
Thomas (Marilyn) Painter of Fostoria and Mrs. John (Caryl)
Risk of Fairfield County; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren;
four great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lorence
Carmean of Rudolph.
A brother, Walter Carmean, is also deceased.
Mrs. Chambers was a homemaker and a
member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Fostoria.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m.
Monday in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria
with the Rev. Russell Gumm and the Rev. Robert Chew
officiating. Burial will be in Knollcrest Gardens near
Arcadia
Visitation will be 1-3 and 6-8 p.m.
Sunday at the funeral home.

Orlo Henry
Former Ford Motor Employee
Orlo Henry "Budd" Cramer, 87, of 906
N. Main St., Fostoria, died at 9:55 p.m. Monday, Feb.
26, 2001, in St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria
He was born April 16, 1913, in Fostoria,
to Orlo P. and Pearl (Freese) Cramer. On Aug. 31, 1935,
he married Lois McKibben. She died March 17, 1987. He
later married Sara Jane Phipps Aug. 20, 1988. She survives
in Fostoria.
Survivors also include: three stepdaughters,
Mrs. Lowell (Barbara) Souder of Prudenville, Mich.,
Mrs. Ottis (Jacqueline) Bowe of Duwagiac, Mich., and
Mrs. James (Joan) Vanderhoff of Fostoria; eight step-grandchildren
and 14 step-great-grandchildren.
A sister, Mrs. Vern (LaVon) Purkey is
deceased.
A World War II U.S. Navy veteran, he
attended Wesley United Methodist Church, Fostoria.
Mr. Cramer worked at the Ford Motor
Co. in Fostoria (now Honeywell) for many years
The service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday
in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will
be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore.
Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today
at the funeral home.

A service to celebrate the life of Wilda
Carter, 88, of 525 Summit St., Fostoria, will be held
at lp.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church,
Fostoria.
A reception will follow the service.
There will be no visitation.
Mrs. Carter died early Sunday, March
4, 2001 at her residence.
She was born Oct. 24, 1912 in Risingsun
to William E. and Tessie (Walters) Bates. She married
Dr. James W. Carter on July 3, 1938, and he survives.
Also surving are two daughters, Jill
Knuth, Stanford, Calif.; Diana Baxter, Indianapolis,
Ind.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren;
a sister, Frances Cunningham, Grand Rapids, Mich.; and
a brother, Robert Bates, Raleigh, N.C.
She was preceded in death by two brothers,
Don and Mac Bates. Mrs. Carter taught first grade at
Crocker Street School, Fostoria.
She graduated in 1930 from Fostoria
High School and earned a teaching certificate from Bowling
Green State University.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist
Church, where she served on many committees and held
offices ranging from disrict president of Epworth League
to district president of WSCS. During the 1950's and
60's, she also was involved with the religious education
program in the public schools.

Decker, Minnie
Funeral services for Merlin Ray Decker,
80, and his wife, Minnie Decker, 81, of Pleasant Lake,
Mich. will be held at 11a.m. Thursday at Coffee County
Funeral Chapel, Manchester, Tenn., the Rev. Lewis England
officiating. Burial will be in Blanton Chapel Cemetery,
Manchester.
Mr. and Mrs. Decker both died of natural
causes Sunday, March 4, 2001 in Pleasant Lake.
Mr. Decker was born May 10, 1920 in
Hancock County to Cloyd and Agatha Decker. He married
Minnie Farrar on August 6, 1941.
Surviving are a son, Larry of Manchester,
Tenn.; two daughters, Linda Faye Patterson, Findlay;
Deborah Wetzel, Jackson, Mich.; eight grandchildren;
and nine great-grandchildren.
Mr. Decker also is survived by a brother,
Willard of Indianapolis, Inc.; and a half-sister, June
Hall, Marysville, Wash.
Mr. Decker was a retired terminal manager
for Marathon Oil Co., Jackson, Mich.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during
World War II.
He attended First Christian Church.
Mrs. Decker was born Feb. 10, 1920 in
Manchester, Tenn. to John and Zora (West) Farrar.
She is survived by two brothers, Carl
and John Farrar, both of Manchester, Tenn.; and three
sisters, Helen Stephens, Manchester, Tenn.; Evelyn Bryan,
Hillsboro, Tenn.; and Ann Moyer, Fostoria.
Mrs. Decker was a homemaker.
She was a member of Blanton Chapel United
Methodist Church, Manchester, Tenn.

Paul L., Sr.
Funeral services for Paul L. Donaldson
Sr., 67, of 1725 Walnut St., Fostoria, will be held
at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria,
the Rev. Dr. Larry W. Knigga officiating. Burial will
be in Knollcrest Gardens, near Arcadia, where military
rites will be conducted by the United Veterans of Fostoria.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and
7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where a Moose memorial
service will be held at 7p.m.
Mr. Donaldson died at 1:15 a.m. Wednesday,
March 7, 2001, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 16, 1933, in Findlay
to Stanley P. and Lula M. (Warner) Donaldson. His mother,
Lula M. Donaldson-Hindall, survives in Findlay. He married
Henrietta A. Berger on March 30, 1956, in Fostoria,
and she survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Paul
L. Jr. of Tiffin; and Leonard W. of Fostoria; two daughters,
Mrs. Leo (Vickie) Dannenberger, Bradner; and Mrs. Mario
(Dawn) DeLaRosa, Fostoria; 10 grandchildren; a stepgrandchild;
three half brothers, Rupert Hindall, Mount Cory; Lou
Hindall, North Baltimore; and Joe Hindall, Findlay;
and two sisters, Patricia Nungester and Mrs. James (Donna)
Bender, both of Findlay.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Mr. Donaldson retired in 1994 as a tool
and die engineer at General Dynamics, Lima, after 36
years of service.
He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church
and Moose Lodge 1567, both in Fostoria.
He was a 1951 graduate of Fostoria High
School.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean
War.

Ms. Clark died at 3:37 p.m. Tuesday,
March 6, 2001 at St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
She was born Aug. 9, 1949 in Sikeston,
Mo. to Archie L. and Rosie L. (West) Tatum. Her mother
and stepfather, Rosie and James W. Lynch, survive in
Fostoria.
Also surviving are four sons, Rodney
A. and Anthony S. Ferguson, both of Fostoria; John D.
Ferguson, Lakewood; Danny Clark Jr., address unknown;
four daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Toya) Gravely, Columbus;
Monica Ferguson, Reston, Va.; Mrs. Marty (Tracey) Farber,
Findlay; Danielle R. Clark, address unknown; 12 grandchildren;
two stepbrothers, Ali Tatum, Fostoria; James Lynch Jr.,
in Connecticut; two stepsisters, Jena Haralson and Jodi
Jones, both of Fostoria; and a stepmother, Karen Tatum,
Fostoria.
She was preceded in death by a son,
Archie D. Ferguson.
Ms. Clark was a homemaker. She was a
certified nursing assistant at Good Shephard Nursing
Home, Fostoria, and had worked at General Electric,
Marathon Oil Co. and Whirlpool.
She was a 1967 graduate of Fostoria
High School and attended Bowling Green State University,
Tiffin University and the University of Findlay, majoring
in business administration. She also attended Terra
Technical College and studied nursing.
Ms. Clark was a former member of Bethel
Baptist Church, Fostoria.

Jana Conine, 54, of 718 Circle Drive,
Fostoria, died at 11:20 a.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2001,
at her home.
She was born on July 2, 1946, in Risingsun,
to Alfred L. and Georgeann M. (Huff) Conine. Her father
is deceased and her mother survives in Fostoria.
Other survivors include two brothers,
Jack C. Conine and Kevin L. Conine, both of Fostoria.
Maternal grandparents Charles Huff and
Gertrude (Huff) Correll and paternal grandparents Charles
and Ella Conine are deceased.
Services are private with interment
at the Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria. There will be no
visitation.

ROBERT E.
Robert E. Dildine, 82, of 278 N. Sandusky
St., died at 8:40 p.m., Sunday, April 1, 2001, in the
St. Francis Home.
He was born November 16, 1918, in Tiffin,
to Charles G. and Mary Ann (Dutt) Dildine, Sr. On December
9, 1939, in Tiffin, he married Helen C. Sherman, and
she survives.
Survivors also include: two sons, William
O. Dildine, St. Francis Home, and Robert P. Dildine,
of San Antonio, TX.; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Rebecca
Ann) Dunn of Fostoria and Mrs. Keith (Mary C.) Niederkohr
of Luckey; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are: two brothers, William
F. and Charles G. Dildine, Jr.
Mr. Dildine, a 1936 graduate of Columbian
High School, retired in 1981 after 41 years as a lineman
for the Ohio Power Company. He was a member of the Ebenezer
United Methodist Church, Amvets Post 48, VFW Post 2858,
American Legion Post 169, and a lifetime member of the
Fraternal Order of Eagles 402. He also served in the
U.S. Army in Africa and the Middle East theater in WWII.
Services will take place 11 a.m. Wednesday
at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home; and will be officiated
by the Rev. Scott Hayward.
Burial will be at the Greenlawn Cemetery.
Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the
funeral home.

Roy D. Clark, 72, of 214 N. Tarr St.,
North Baltimore, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001 at his
residence.
He was born May 9, 1928 in Bloomdale
to Lewis and Alwilda (Clark) Clark. He married Carol
Jean McCracken in March 1953, and she died in April
1968. He then married Juanita Harmon on Aug. 24, 1970
and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Roy II
of Rudolph; Steve of Powell; three stepsons, Rick Harmon,
Sidney; Robert Harmon, Fostoria; Chris Harmon, Bowling
Green; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;
and four sisters, Mrs. Jim (Winifred) McClanahan and
Mrs. Bill (Jean) Long, both of Findlay; Mrs. Bert (Donnie)
Selly, in California; Janice Lewis, London, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by two brothers,
Fred and Charles; and five sisters, Stella Smith, Opal
August, Louise Harmon, Frieda Cline, Leales Risser.
Mr. Clark was a retired distributor
of British Petroleum (formerly Sohio).
He was a member of Good Shepherd United
Methodist Church, North Baltimore, and its choir.
He served in the U.S. Army Artillery
in Germany and Korea.
He was a member of North Baltimore American
Legion Post 539 and recently served as finance officer.
He was active with and past president of North Baltimore
Junior Chamber of Commerce.
Funeral services will be held at 11
a.m. Friday at Smith-Crates Funeral Home, North Baltimore,
the Revs. George Hamblin and Paul Eichar officiating.
Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery, Bloom Township, Wood
County.
Visitation will be held from 3-5 and
7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cameron-Ward died at 1:25 p.m.
Monday, April 9, 2001 at Independence House, Fostoria.
She was born Dec. 24, 1904 in Perry
Township, Wood County to Wilson and Amanda (Bowers)
Stearns. She married George R. Cameron in 1929, and
he died in 1948. She later married C. Richard Ward in
1950, and he died in 1976.
Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Gray,
Fostoria; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son,
Douglas Cameron; a stepson, William T. Ward; a grandchild;
four brothers, Louis, Fred, Herschel and Guy Stearns;
and a sister, Florence Whitman.
Mrs. Cameron-Ward was a homemaker.
She was a member of First Presbyterian
Church, Fostoria, Fostoria Country Club and Catawba
Island Club. She was a former member of Fostoria Chapter
94 OES.
Mrs. Cameron-Ward graduated in 1922
from Fostoria High School. She also graduated from Tiffin
Business College.

to Milton and Vickie (Sager) Doll, and they survive
