HANNIBAL- (AMC Mission Valley 20 movie theater in San
Diego CA)
Staring Anthony Hopkins and Julianne Moore is the third installment
of the Thomas Harris' novels.
Anthony Hopkins is great as usual; but the movie is not! Julianne
Moore does a good job but is not seen in the movie a lot!
Lots of guts and gore, great special effects; I might not see
the next installment!!
SWEET NOVEMBER- (AMC Century 14 Theater in Hollywood CA.)
Take a lot of tissue. Charlize Theron does a super job - Keanu
Reeves' acting could be improved. This is a remake of a 1968
movie by the same name; but the original was probably better.
Scenery is great and Reeves and Theron have great chemistry
on screen.
3000 MILES TO GRACELAND- (Maumee stadium theater)
This movie was number four for the week in the ratings.
I loved it.... Kurt Russell and Kevin Costner are great. Lots
of violence; ex-cons rob a casino in Las Vegas dressed as Elvis
Presley during an Elvis contest.
Won't rate it better because most people will not like the amount
of violence.
CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON- (Maumee stadium theater)
Cinematography was wonderful, but reading the subtitles and
watching the screen are difficult to do.
Chow Yun-Fat and Michelle Yeoh do a great job. Lots of martial
arts mixed with a little romance while recovering a stolen sword.
Will do well at the oscars!!
