for a mail order bride, who is played by Angelina Jolie. He
falls in love with this American born woman who is very beautiful.
Lots of passion and mystery. Of course Anglina is after the
fortune and has someone else, the ending is a real surprise.
Very good movie

"The Others" rated

Takes place in 1945 off the coast of England. Nicole Kidman
stars in this thriller. Her two children, played by James Bentley
and Alakina Mann (by the way excellent acting), live with her
in a secluded house and acquire 3 servants. The children claim
the house is haunted and say they have seen the ghosts. Really
slow but the ending is really a surprise.
First English language by Alejandro Amenabar and produced by
Tom Cruise. Not one of favorites!!

"The Curse of the Jade Scorpian" rated
PG-13
Writen and directed by Woody Allen it was good.
This is a period piece during the 1940s; comedy drama with some
mystery thrown in. Allen is an insurance investigator who is
put under a spell by an act at a club. The one who puts him
under uses him to rob houses that he has burlar proofed. Along
with his do-worker (Helen Hunt) it becomes love and hate. Only
Woody Allen has such wit. Dan Acroyd and Charlize Theron also
star, enjoyed it ver much.
