Artie Burton
Lettered four years in track, three years in football and two years in basketball at FHS during the 1960's. An All-Great Leaguers League and All-Ohio football player, he went on to play at Ohio State, where he was a member of the 1969 national championship team
 
Brenda Cousin (Branch)
Was a four time state track runner-up in the 1980's---twice in the 800 and twice in the 1600 relay. She also won Great :Lakes League cross country championship in 1984. She went on to become a standout captain ;in cross country and track at the University of Toledo, where she won a Mid-American Conference 500-championship.
 
 
Cecil Jackson
Earned a total of 10 letters in football, basketball and track in the 1960's. earning All-Great Lakes League recognition in football and basketball. He joins brothers Grant and Carlos as FHS Hall of Famers.
 
Dick Maxwell
A wrestler and basketball player during his high school years, began his communications career at the Review Times and then went on to work in the NFL office for 29 years before his retirement. (in 2006)
 
Clayton Moore
Not only helped FHS reach the football state playoffs. but he was an individual state qualifier in wrestling and track and field. He went on to play football at the University of Toledo and now works as an assistant coach for the Redmen football team.
 
Dr. James Murray
A family physician in Fostoria for 41 years who died last summer,(2007) long served as doctor for the FHS athletic teams. Also a several term chief of state at the Fostoria Community Hospital. He was elected to the Ohio State Football Hall of Fame in 1994
 
Ronnie Shumaker
Was a team captain, team Most Valuable Player and All-Ohio basketball selection in 1951 when he led the state in scoring.with a 20.2 points per game average. He was honorable mention All-Ohio as a junior, A knee injury ended Shumaker's career during his freshman year at Bowling Green State University. He died in a traffic crash in 1954.

Derek Kidwell, Was voted the state's top player when he played quarterback and defensive end in 1991. In 1996 he became a staff member of his father's coach Dick Kidwell. Derek and Dick Kidwell will form the Hall of Fame's first father-son combination. After winning the 1991 Mr. Football award, the younger Kidwell played briefly at Bowling Green State University before joining his father's staff at FHS. With Dick Kidwell assisting, Derek has become a head coach and rebuilt struggling programs at Hopewell-Loudon and Fremont Ross.

Tom Grine Is a 1973 FHS graduate who earned All-Ohio recognition as a wishbone quarterback for the Redmen. He switched from quarterback to tight end at the University of Iowa and was named the Hawkeyes' most valuable player in his senior year. Grine was a head coach at Clyde before returning to Fostoria to join Dick Kidwell's staff. He turned to defense and coordinated the Redmen on that side of the ball for both title runs. He succeeded Kidwell as head coach in 1997 and recently completed his 10th season at the helm.

Matt Green Remains the only FHS athlete to reach the state boys tennis tournament, where he finished third in 1991. Green, who was known for his powerful serve, had a 32-1 record as a senior and finished 88-16 for his four-year high school career before playing at Northern Illinois University. He has coached the FHS boys team and continues to teach and play competitive tennis in Toledo.

Aaron Hampton, 1990 graduate, was a standout in football and basketball as well as in baseball, in which he continued to stand out at Wright State University. With the Raiders, he was a teammate of left-handed pitcher Brian Anderson, who has pitched for several major league teams, including the Cleveland Indians. Hampton and Anderson helped the Raiders gain their first NCAA tournament bid.

Jim Hauser Graduated in 1964 and went on to play football at the University of Toledo before returning to FHS and coaching boys track from 1968 through 1972. He then went to Sandusky Perkins, where he coached a state championship team, a state runner-up team and nine individual state champions. He was named the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches' boys coach of the year in 1990 and is a member of the organization's Hall of Fame.

Tommy Bender was the Redmen football coach from 1943 through 1949. His teams compiled a 35-23-4 record, with his first squad going 8-0 and winning the Buckeye League championship. Bender's stint as Athletic director followed, from 1949 through 1966. Bender also worked as a football official at the high school and college levels. The Fostoria Athletic Boosters annually present an award named for Bender to an outstanding male athlete at FHS, with criteria based on attitude and comportment as well as athletic achievement.

Brad Fisher was an All-Ohio football selection as a senior in 1977. He went on to play at Clemson University, where he was a starter on the offensive line in his junior and senior years. After playing left guard as a junior, Fisher moved to left tackle as a senior and helped the Tigers to a 12-0 record, including a victory in the Orange Bowl that brought the team the national championship.

Carlos Jackson starred in football, basketball and track at FHS. He was named first-team All-Buckeye Conference and honorable mention All-Ohio in 1948. He went on to play football at Bowling Green State University, where he was the team's leading rusher in 1955. He missed the 1956 season after contracting polio, but he returned to limited action in 1957. Jackson taught and coached at FHS before going back to Bowling Green as an assistant football coach. He died of a heart attack at age 44 in 1974. He has also been inducted into the BGSU Hall of Fame.
John Tinsman was Fostoria Community Schools' trainer from the time he arrived as a teacher and trainer in 1962 until his retirement as trainer in 1997. Tinsman was one of Ohio's first certified athletic trainers at the high school level, and he was inducted into the Ohio Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame in May 1992. He also coached football and wrestling.
Fred Wilch was 23 years old when he was named head boys basketball coach in 1957, and his teams would win five Great Lakes League titles and several sectional championships during his 20 years in the position. Wilch's 1963-64 team went 19-2. Wilch's career record was 231-170. He also taught, worked as head golf coach and assisted in football at FHS, in addition officiating high school football.
Fostoria High School 1938 football team was one of two undefeated FHS squads between 1922 and 1991. The 1938 Redmen, coached by Dwight W. "Ike" Trubey and captained by Bill Munsey, posted a 10-0 record while outscoring its opponents 295-25 with six shutouts. Ohio not yet having divisional classifications or playoffs, Fostoria was ranked second in the state behind Massillon.
Team Lettermen were; Bill Munsey--Lawrence Smith--Ed Kuhn--Wilbur Franklin--Lloyd Holden--Roscoe Marshall--Graydon Whitman--Howard Aldrich--Floyd Parmenter--Charles LeComte--Henry Lind--John Shrider--William Shiflet and Charles Smith.
Juniors were; Cliffore Fox--Charles Imber--Clair Kisabeth--Gaylord Clark and Allen Russel. Plus Sophomore Alex Lind.
