Mildred L. "Millie" Williams, 86, formerly of Mount
Vernon Drive, died at 10:10 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2005 at Good
Shepherd Home where she resided.
She was born on March 8, 1918 in Chicago, Ill. to the late Lee
and Edna (Cass) Holden. She married Glenwood R. "Glenn"
Williams, D.D.S. and he died Oct. 26, 2003.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ronald C. (Gena Marie)
Boley, Minster, Ohio; Bonnie L. Kenner, Fostoria; two grandchildren,
Leah Altman and Glenda Kenner-Aspery; two great-grandchildren,
Morgan Aspery and MacKensey Kenner-Aspery; one brother, Lloyd
K. Holden, EauClaire, Wisc.; and one sister, Florence L. (Herbert)
Bradford, Spring Lake, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Glenn.
Mrs. Williams retired in May 1994 from Vanlue Schools as a teacher.
She also taught for Fostoria, Lakota, Hopewell-Loudon and Columbus
school systems. Mildred was a 1935 graduate of Fostoria High School
and a 1939 graduate of Bowling Green State University. She was
also a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Fostoria.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hoening Funeral Home
with Chaplain Jim Sampson officiating. Cemetery committal services
will be in the Veterans Memorial Chapel of Fountain Cemetery,
where burial will take place following the service.
Visitation is 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Hoening Funeral Home.

Zoeller, Luella M.
Luella M. Zoeller, 85, formerly of CR 165, Tiffin, died Saturday,
Jan. 1, 2005 at Good Shepherd Home.
She was born Sept. 26, 1919 in Green Springs to the late Clark
and Cleora Drown. She married Alfred Zoeller on Feb. 3, 1940 at
St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, and he preceded her in death
on Aug. 2, 1981.
She is survived by five sons, James, (Sandy) Zoeller, Kissimmee,
Fla.; Richard (Ruth) Zoeller, Kenneth (Rose) Zoeller, Charles
(Jennifer) Zoeller, Daniel (Hollie) Zoeller, all of Tiffin; four
daughters, Mary Lou (Charles) Schiro, Rotunda West, Fla.; Joan
(Norbert) Volny, Bend, Ore.; Genevieve Frankart, New Riegel; Ruth
(Paul) Platt, Rotunda West, Fla.; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren;
and seven stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, parents, sisters,
Winifred and Genevieve Drown, and a brother, Cletus Drown.
Luella was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and spending time
on the family farm, where she had lived for more than 70 years.
She loved being with her children and grandchildren. She was a
member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005 at St. Joseph
Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5,
2005 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home where a Christian
wake service will be at 8:45 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Support Group of Tiffin
and Seneca County, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Good Shepherd Home
or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Walker, Jack K., Jr.
Jack K. "Johnny" Walker Jr., 63, of Lady Lake, Fla.
and formerly of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005.
He was born Oct. 8, 1941 in Tiffin to Jack K. and Cozetta (Rader)
Walker Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Barbara Walker. He is
also survived by three daughters, D'Aun Walker-Leston, Dayton;
Jacqueline Walker-Adkins and husband Douglas, Charlotte, N.C.;
Leah Walker-Roberts and husband Mitch, Las Vegas, Nev; four grandchildren,
Nicole and Christina Leston, Mackenzie Adkins and Mia Roberts;
three sisters-in-law, Colleen Sheaffer, Betty LaPyrne and Doris
Talbot and husband Don; brother-in-law, Danny Opperman and wife
Dorothy; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many dear
friends.
Johnny worked as a DJ at WFOB and later in Albany, N.Y, Lima
and Dayton where he was a broadcaster for many years and hosted
the annual Muscular Dystrophy telethon for 18 years. He was the
president of Hara Arena Conference and Exhibition Center from
1987 through June 2001. Johnny was the recipient of numerous community
awards including three regional Emmy awards and the 1987 Dayton
Public Relations Society of America "Smitty" award.
He served his community as president of the Trotwood Chamber of
Commerce, Old Time Newsies, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and other
organizations as well.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005 at Tobias
Funeral Home, Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Road,
Dayton. Interment will be privately at the convenience of the
family.
Visitation is 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 2005 at the funeral
home.

Wright , Eldon Joe
Elden J. "Joe" Wright, 79, of Fostoria, died at 2:45
a.m., Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005 at his residence.
Born in Bloomdale, Ohio on June 20, 1925 to the late Ivan Lee
and Lillie (Rosendale) Wright, Joe married Virginia R. Bisel on
March 24, 1945 in Bloomdale and she preceded him in death on Jan.
13, 1992.
He is survived by: one son, Wesley Lee Wright, Fostoria; two
daughters, Judy (Michael) Brenamen, Fostoria and Freda (Lee) Cerny,
Swanton; six grandchildren, Kevin, Keith, Christopher, Kyle, Ian
and Kane; six great-grandchildren, Eric, Amanda, Shelby, Tatum,
Campbell and Parker; two brothers, Charles and David Wright; and
one sister, Bernice Salisbury.
One daughter, Sandra Wright, and two brothers, Stanley and Clyde
Wright, also preceded him in death.
A 1943 graduate of Bloomdale High School, Joe retired as a tool
and die maker from the Chrysler Foundry in Fostoria after more
than 38 years. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church,
Fostoria, and was a United States Navy veteran of World War II
serving from April 1943 to November 1945. Joe was a gentle and
quiet man who enjoyed bowling and woodworking.
Friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday
in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, where funeral services
will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005. Interment will be at
Knollcrest Gardens, Arcadia, preceded by military graveside rites
by the United Veterans of Fostoria.

Young, John R.
Graveside services for John Russell Young, 51, Kenton, will be
11 a.m. Thursday at the Elk Run Cemetery in Elkton, Va. Pastor
Jim Kite will conduct the service. Mr. Young died Jan. 15, 2005
at Marion General Hospital, Marion.
Mr. Young was born July 8, 1953 in New London and was the son
of Thelma Osborne Young, Kenton, and the late Clarence L. Young.
He was a member of the Pace Local #5-0109, the Fraternal Order
of the Eagles #2163, the Sons of the AMVETS Post 1994 and the
Moose Lodge #428-1533. He worked at Atlas Crankshaft in Fostoria
for 15 years and later at Sypris Manufacturing in Kenton for the
past 12 years.
Beside his mother, Mr. Young is survived by three daughters,
Cristy (James) Knight, Elkton, Va.; Cindy (Bobby) Bottenfield,
Harrisonburg, Va.; two brothers, Gary (Lori) Young, Wharton; Clarence
D. Young, Marion; three sisters, Connie Young, Karen Young, both
of Kenton; Debbie Young, Bowling Green; three half sisters, Barbara
Young, Gallion; Geraldine Blackburn and Jackie (David) Farner,
both of Fostoria; five grandchildren, Crystal, Lisa, Cierra, Nathan,
Molly; 19 nieces and nephews; and his former wife, Shirley Yancey,
Elkton, Va.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the
Kyger Funeral Home, Elkton, Va. Friends may also call at the home
of his daughter, Cristy, at any time.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's
choice.
Williams, Vera
Vera "Devota" Williams, 83, Fremont, died Sunday, Jan.
23, 2005 at the Bethesda Care Cater.
She was born to the late Henry and Nettie (Mettham) Eger on Jan.
4, 1922 in Fostoria. She was married to Lewis R. Williams for
62 years and he died in 2003.
She is survived by her children, Madella Lee Williams, Houston,
Texas; Roger (Kathie) Williams, Fremont; Marcella W. Rupp, Pataskala;
grandchildren Shellie (Tom) Koerner, Kristy, Amanda and Roger
Jr. Williams, Travis and Spencer Rupp; and great-grandchildren,
Jade and Kelcee Koerner.
She was preceded by one sister, Delvena.
Devota was a full-time homemaker and worked part time for six
years as a lunchroom worker at Bode Elementary School, Cuyahoga
Falls, in the 1960s. She was an active member of the East Christian
Church in Oregon. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting.
In recent years, she and her husband Lewis donated hundreds of
plastic milk bottles, egg cartons and other "recyclables"
to the Walbridge Elementary School kindergarten and art programs.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday at the Freck Funeral Chapel,
Wynn at Pickle Road in Oregon. Interment will follow in Lake Township
Cemetery.
Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Care Center.
