Nye, Marcia L.
Marcia L. Nye, 61, Fostoria, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005 at her
residence.
Marcia was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 16, 1943 to Charles W.
and Phama G. (Davis) England. She married Bradford P. Nye on October
22, 1960 in Tiffin, Ohio and he preceded her in death on March
16, 1991.
Marcia was a self-employed Avon representative for over 29 years
in the Fostoria area. A generous and witty person, she was a graduate
of Fostoria High School and a member of the Fostoria Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memory include: her mother, Phama England
of Fostoria; a daughter and son-in-law, Denise L. Nye-Hinkley
and her husband Gary of Redmond, Wash.; one son, Brent A. Nye,
also of Redmond, Wash., and his fiancée Kris Steiger; and
two grandchildren, Mallory and Sydney Hinkley.
Her father and one son, Brandon E. Nye, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 7, 2005 in
the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Pastor David Chapman
presiding. Burial will follow in St. Wendelin Cemetery, Fostoria.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to
8 p.m. in the funeral home.

Nye, James I., Sr.
James I. Nye Sr., 61, East North Street, died at 10:10 a.m. Saturday,
Jan. 15, 2005 at his home.
He was born April 6, 1943 in Gallia to Norman and Hazel (Swisher)
Nye. He married Dianne Sargent on Jan. 2, 1964 in Carey.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne Nye, Fostoria; his mother,
Hazel Nye, Carey; son, James "Jamie" Nye Jr., Fostoria;
daughter, Melissa "Missi" (Douglas) Yost, Lambertville,
Mich.; brother, Jeff (Helen) Nye, Carey; two sisters, Jean (Jim)
Gordon, Carey; Judy (Mike) DeAmicis, Carey; and five grandchildren,
Marina and Melanie Nye, Chelsea, Joshua and Shawn Yost.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Nye.
Mr. Nye was a weight master at Mennel Milling Co. with more than
39 years of service. He was a 1961 graduate of Carey High School.
He was a U. S. Navy veteran.
Mr. Nye was a life member of the Fostoria AMVETS, and a member
of Fostoria Moose Lodge, American Legion and Eagle's Club.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Harrold-Floriana
Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Ring officiating.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a
charity of the donor's choice.
