Donald A. Droll, 71, Upper Sandusky, died at 3:38 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005 at his residence. He was born to Wilfred F. and Doris G. (Miller) Droll.

He was survived by his wife, Patricia Ann, Upper Sandusky; sons, Terry, Chatum, IL; Mark, Upper Sandusky; Jerry, LaRue; daughters, Sue Lamberjack, Carey; Joan Kincade, Upper Sandusky; Diane Ward, Van Buren; brother, Brother Anthony, Zambia, Africa; and sisters, Ruth M. Thiel, Morral; Carol R. Lutman, Temperance, MI.; and Darlene L. Kitzler, Carey.

Visitation was 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bringman Clark & Co. Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky where a Biblical wake service was at 8 p.m Mass of Christian Burial was 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Catholic Church, Upper Sandusky, Rev. Regis Schlagheck officiated. Burial was in St. Peter Parish Cemetery, Upper Sandusky.

Downard, LuAnn Roe

LuAnn Roe Downard, 36, Rudolph, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005 at her residence. She was born to John L. and Mary Lou (Herr) Roe and her father survived in Jerry City.

She was also survived by her daughter, Breynn Mary Elizibeth Downard, Rudolph; sons, Hawke and Hunter R. Downard, both of Rudolph; and brothers, Alan, Wayne; and Neil, Jerry City.

Visitation was 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Rev. Lee H. Hiney officiated. Burial was in Wood County Memory Gardens, Bowling Green.

Cochie, Gretchen P.

Gretchen P. Cochie, 91, passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, 1005 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Ashland. She was born Sept. 20, 1913 in Fostoria to Roy and Violet (Wilbarger-Dillon) Hartley. She married John A. Cochie, Sr. on Sept. 4, 1936, in Fostoria and he died July 9, 1994.

She was survived by son, John A., Jr., Palm Bay, FL; brother, Paul, Fostoria; sisters, Helen Stewart, Goldie Reynolds and Dorothy Cochran, all of Fostoria; Donna Henry, Bettsville; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. Her parents, husband, brother, Ralph; and sister, Mary Houtz preceded her in death.

Mrs. Cochie was a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church, Fostoria, Christians Woman's Fellowship, former deaconess and youth group leader at the church.

Visitation was Wed., Feb 9, 2005 from 5-8 p.m. at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services were held on Thurs., Feb. 10, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home. Burial was at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Memorials are suggested to Seneca County Humane Society or the charity of the donor's choice.


DeLong, Jessie “Maxine”

Jessie “Maxine” DeLong, 81, passed away Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005 in Fostoria Community Hospital. She was born July 17, 1923 in Fostoria to the late Paul and Jessie (Aldrich) Wilcox.

She was survived by daughters, Kay (Ed) Putnam-Wilson, Tiffin, and Darlene (Charles) Putnam-Williard, Auburn, IN; son-in-law, Raymond Depinet, Findlay; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by daughter, Charline Depinet and brother, Charles.

She had been a cook at the Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria, for over 23 years. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church, Findlay.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005 from 4-8 p.m. in Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb 9, 2005 at the funeral home with Rev. Gene Milioni officiating. Burial was in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.


Drenning, Mary Lou “Sam”

Mary Lou "Sam" Drenning, 78, formerly of Kansas, died at 4:50 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2005 at Good Shepherd Home where she had been a resident. She was born Dec. 5, 1926 in Kansas to Olvid and Helen (Hedden) Yoder. She married Dallis A. Drenning Sr. and he died July 10, 1991.

She was survived by sons, Harold (Brenda), Pensacola, Fla.; Dale (Valerie), Martin, OH; David, Norwalk; Dennis, West Millgrove; brothers, Robert and Dale, both of Kansas; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Dallis Jr. and sister Toots Feasel.

Mrs. Drenning was a homemaker. She attended Kansas United Methodist Church.

Visitation was 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home. Memorial service was 11 a.m. Thursday at the Good Shepherd Home; Pastor Donald Goodwin officiated. Inurnment was in Kansas Cemetery.

Clinger Hagenbuch, Marie S.

Marie S. Clinger Hagenbuch, age 92 of 12600 W. Wagner St. in Fostoria and formerly of Williamstown, died at 1:42 am on Saturday, March 19, 2005 at Fostoria Community Hospital.

She was born on April 16, 1912 in Houcktown, OH to Oliver and Anna (Bash) Musselman. She married Lowell R. Clinger on June 5, 1938 and he died on Sept.15, 1970. She married George S. Hagenbuch on April 16, 1988 and he died on Feb. 28, 2003.

Marie was a homemaker and had worked for 18 years at the Marathon Restaurant in Williamstown. She was a member of Williamstown First Brethren Church.

She was survived by daughters, Marlene (Albert) Guzman of Fostoria; Dorothy A. (Richard L.) Johnson of Jenera; brother, Carl Musselman of Kenton; and sister, Helen Baughman of Forest, Ohio; grandchildren, Albert A. (Anita) Guzman Jr., Jeff (Lisa) Guzman, Sherrie (Brian) Hagenmeier, Roger (Missy) Guzman, Krista (David) Roberts, Amy (Tom) Pearson, Rick (Anna) Johnson and Dodi (Brian) Newcomer. She has great grandchildren, Jenni (Billy) Nye, Mike Guzman, Demetrius Guzman, Domonic Guzman, Elizabeth Hagenmeier, Forrest Hagenmeier, Haley Guzman, Alyssa Guzman, Morgan Roberts, Ian Roberts, Elizabeth Pearson, Brandon Pearson, Michael Pearson, Hannah Johnson, Megan Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Cole Newcomer, and Madison Newcomer. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester and Dale Musselman.

Visitation was Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at Crates Funeral Home in Arlington. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Williamstown Brethren Church, Pastor James Donally officiated. Interment was held at Dunkirk Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the church in her memory.

Steven J. Cooper, 54, Wagner Street, died Sunday, March 20, 2005 at Lake Park Care Facility, Sylvania. He was born to Willard and Gladys (Derck) Cooper.

He was survived by his mother, Casa Grande, AZ; sons, Brian Close, Bowling Green; Brad Close, WI; daughter, Michelle Close, CO; brothers, Scott Cooper, Tiffin; David and Stanley Cooper, both of Fostoria; Terry Cooper, Phoenix, AZ; Dennis Cooper, San Antonio, TX; and sisters, Susan Fleming, Fostoria; Cindy Cooper, Tucson, AZ; Jodie Sholtis, Tampa, FL; Linda Lucas, St. Paul, MN; and Lisa Cooper, Seattle, WA.

Visitation was 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home. The family services were private.

Capehart, Robert R.

Robert R. Capehart, 64, Independence Avenue, died at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2005 at home. He was born Jan. 25, 1941 in New Haven, WV, to Franklin and Agnes (Deck) Capehart. He married Brenda S. Grine on Dec. 19, 1991 in Fostoria.

He was survived by his wife, Fostoria; son, Robert, Fostoria; daughter, Kelly (Kevin) Stanley, Webberville, Mich.; stepmother, Marsha Capehart, Middleport; brothers, James, South Bloomfield; Mike (Cindy), Pomeroy; sisters, Shirley Foster, Fostoria; Julia (Bob) Moddispaugh, Middleport; and 10 grandchildren, Nicholas Kroh, Christopher, Judith, Mark, Mary and Eric Capehart, Ashley, Chelsea and Katelyn Stanley and Paul Bryant. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randall; grandson, Robert Capehart; and brother, George.

Mr. Capehart retired in 1998 from the Chrysler Corp. in Perrysburg with more than 30 years of service. He graduated from Wahama High School, Mason W.Va., in 1959. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was a member of the Fostoria Moose Lodge.

Visitation was 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Harold-Floriana Funeral Home. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, Fostoria, the Rev. Donald Goodwin officiated. Burial was in Fountain Cemetery where the Fostoria United Veterans conducted military honors.

Conley, Doris G.

Doris G. Conley, 80, Carey, died at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2005 at The Heritage, Findlay. She was born to Alger and Faye (Vogel) Secrist.

She was survived by two stepsons, Paul David Conley, Salyersville, KY; and Danny Thomas Conley, Carey.

Funeral service was 11 a.m. Thursday at the Stomabaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, with the Rev. James Sharrett officiating. Burial was in Wharton-Richland Union Cemetery, Wharton. Visitation was 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Desgranges, Goldie M.

Goldie M. Desgranges, 95, formerly of South Street, Arcadia, died at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday, March 30 at Fox Run Manor Nursing Home, Findlay, where she was a resident. She was born Feb. 17, 1910 in North Creek, Ohio, to Richard and Alberta (Dewitt) Ordway. She married Chester Desgranges on Dec. 8, 1926 in Ottawa and he died May 19, 1977.

She was survived by sons, Leroy (Carolyn), Kingston, TN.; Marion (Chadyne), Tiffin; Gerald, Glenwood, IA; daughters, Bina Mock, Arcadia; Jacqueline (William) Hilt, Indianapolis, Ind.; 25 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gene; and daughters Wilma Eversole and Royette Clemons.

Mrs. Desgranges was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Arcadia.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Arcadia, with the Rev. William Schultz officiating. Burial were in Knollcrest Gardens near Arcadia. Visitation was 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home.

Davis, Harold D.

Harold D. Davis, 94, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at Fostoria Community Hospital.

He was born Jan. 3, 1911 in Orient, Ohio, to the late Milo and Mana (Chaffin) Davis. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara (Wilkinson) Davis on May 13, 1995.

Harold is survived by his daughter, Judy (Bob) DeWald, Tiffin; granddaughters, Debbie (Rick) Rexing, Colleyville, TX; Becky (Bruce) Miller, Duluth, GA; and six great-grandchildren.

For the past year, Harold resided at the Good Shepherd Assisted Living Home. The majority of his life, he resided in Columbus and as a youngster he lived in Harrisburg. Harold retired from B & O Railroad, Columbus. He constructed homes in Columbus with his father.

Harold's graveside service was 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, Ohio, with Rev. Andrew Hoover officiating.

His family request in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in his memory to the Good Shepherd Home, Activity Van Fund, 725 Columbus Ave., Fostoria, OH 44830.

Arrangements were handled by Schoedinger Norris Chapel, Grove City.

Rebecca Ann Dunn, 64, Fostoria, died Friday morning, April 8, 2005 at her home.

Thomas A. Daugherty, 52, North Baltimore, died Saturday evening, April 23, 2005 at the Cleveland Clinic Heart Care Center. He was born to Gordon Roy and Dorothy (Bostic) Daugherty.

He was survived by his wife, Merikay, North Baltimore; son, Dustyn Daugherty, North Baltimore; and daughter, Melynda Daugherty, North Baltimore.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Thursday at the Smith-Crates Funeral Home, North Baltimore, with the Rev. Daniel Singell officiating. Burial was in New Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation was 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Curlis-Carr, LaVilla Ilene

LaVilla Ilene Curlis-Carr, 85, Fostoria, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2005 at Birchaven Health Care, Findlay. She was born on Aug. 4, 1919 in Haskins to Abner Jacob and Ethel Waneta (Koons) Babcock. She married Walter Wayne Curlis on Aug. 30, 1935 in Bowling Green and they were divorced. She then married Allen Charles Carr on May 11, 1981 and he passed away.

She was survived by sons, Arvin Eugene "Woody" Curlis, Winter Haven, FL; Thomas William Curlis, Elmore, AL; Randy B. Curlis, Helena; brother, Allen Abner, Bradner; stepsister, Shirley Mae Wallace, Gallipolis; 23 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; son, Robert Wayne Curlis; brothers, Raymond Edward, William Briggs, Bernard Charles and Lewis Alexander; daughter-in-law, Gerry Curlis; grandchildren, Rod Curlis, Keith Curlis and Jamie Curlis; and one great-grandchild, Brian Shackelford.

Mrs. Carr retired from the former Rinks Bargain City Store in Bowling Green. She was a member of Dillon Baptist Church, Fostoria.

Funeral services were 1 p.m. Thursday at Barndt Funeral Home, Wayne, with Arvin Eugene "Woody" Curlis officiating. Burial was in Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia. Visitation was 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Barndt Funeral Home, Wayne.

He was survived by his wife, Barbara J. Camp, Wayne; sons, Wayne R., Tim D. and Franklin E., Jr., all of Wayne; James A., St. Marys; brothers, Robert, St. Marys; Richard, Radcliff; and sisters, Beulah Canode, Luckey; and Mary Damron, Pemberville.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Monday at the Barndt Funeral Home, Wayne. Burial was in Graham Cemetery, Wayne. Visitation was 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Dieter, Donna Belle

Donna Belle Dieter, 78, of Fostoria, died at 12 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2005 at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin. A native Fostorian, Donna was born Sept. 7, 1926 to the late Earl and Della Viola (Manecke) Peters. She married her husband, Val Dieter, on Oct. 18, 1946 in Fostoria and he survived.

Also surviving were sons, Phillip (Robin), Tiffin; Craig (Rose), Findlay; daughters, Jacquelyn (Ralph) Wagner, Ft. Collins, CO; Linda (James) Mesnard, Bloomdale; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Duane (Rosie) Peters, Portland, Ore.

Donna was a second-generation florist. She owned and operated Flowerland in Fostoria. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, the VFW Auxiliary, and Order of the Eastern Star #94, all in Fostoria, and Dendarah Ladies Shrine.

Funeral services were 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2005 in the St. John's United Church of Christ, rural Fostoria, with the Rev. Jim Michaels presiding. Friends called on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, where Eastern Star memorial services was conducted at 6 p.m., and for one hour prior to the services on Tuesday in the church.

Crenshaw, Rev. Dr. Harry M.

Rev. Dr. Harry M. Crenshaw, Toledo, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2005 in Flower Hospital, Sylvania. He was born April 25, 1928 in Butler County, Alabama, to Gardner and Ruby (Dunklin) Crenshaw. He married Frances and she survived in Toledo.

He was also survived by sons, Marvin, Toledo; Harry, Jr., Cleveland; daughters, Shirley Crenshaw, Vanessa (Herbert) Davis, Kay Frances Crenshaw, all of Toledo; grandchildren, O'Shai Crenshaw, O'Lajidai Crenshaw and Daniece Cornett; great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mamie Crenshaw Peagler and Elder Corine Powell, Pensacola, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Marilyn Crenshaw and Evelyn Cornett; and 16 siblings.

Rev. Dr. Crenshaw pastored in 1953 at First Baptist Church, Rossford; at First Baptist Church, Fostoria from 1958 to 1968; and Jerusalem Baptist Church, Toledo, for 35 years and retired in 2004. He was a lifetime member of the NAACP; recipient of 25 years of Distinguished Service Award from the Ohio House of Representatives; and Outstanding Leadership Award from the Ninth Congressional District Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur.

He earned several degrees: Bachelor of Theology from the International Bible Institute & Seminary; Master of Arts in psychology and counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary; Doctorate of Divinity from Calvary Bible College; and honorary Doctorate from Selma University. He was a licensed professional counselor.

Homegoing celebration was 11 a.m. Saturday at Friendship Baptist Church, Toledo, with the Rev. Dr. Anthony Byrd, officiating; Rev. Floyd Smith giving the eulogistic message; and Overseer Daune C. Tisdale, host pastor. Family hour was at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial was at 10 a.m. Monday in Forest Cemetery , Toledo. Visitation was 4 p.m. and Wake Service was 6 p.m. Friday at the Jerusalem Baptist Church, Toledo, with the Rev. Dr. Willie Perryman officiating.

Funeral arrangements were handled by C. Brown Funeral Home, Toledo.

Donald Correll, 77, of TR 49, died at 2:45 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2005 at his home.

Ranald M. Crocker, 86, Cygnet, died at 6:22 p.m. May 13, 2005 at Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green. He was born to T. Richard and Leah (Brown) Crocker.

He was survived by daughters, Carla Crocker, Cygnet; Barbara Fitzgerald, McComb; son, Richard, Rudolph; and brother, George, Florida.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Tuesday at South Liberty United Methodist Church with the Revs. Thomas Orth and Marcy Byrd officiating. Burial was in Wingston Cemetery. Visitation was 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, Bowling Green.

Chapman, Lena Catherine

Lena Catherine Chapman, 92, Columbus and formerly of Bascom, Fostoria and Tiffin, died at 5:50 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2005 at Whetstone Care Center, Columbus. She was born Sept. 15, 1912 in Bascom to the late Aaron and Rosa (Myers) Feasel. She married Harry L. Chapman on Sept. 1, 1934 in Fostoria and he died December 1981.

She was survived by son, Nick, Worthington; and grandchildren, Chad, Kelli and Samantha.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Leroy and Warren Feasel; and sisters, Grace Barnett, Daisy Littler, Helen Hoover and Fleta Feasel.

Mrs. Chapman retired from the Gem Manufacturing Company, Bascom in 1972 after 45 years of service. Lena was a 1926 graduate from the old Bascom School in Bascom. She was a member of the Bascom United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Pastor Cal Cook presiding. Burial was in Sand Ridge Cemetery, Bascom. Visitation was 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hoening Funeral Home, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria.

Memorials may be made to the Bascom United Methodist Church.

Charles L. Conrad, 69, Bowling Green died 4:50 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2005 at Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green. He was born to Lawrence G. Conrad and Margaret A. Brown in Haskins.

He was survived by brother Thomas (Carol) Foos, Bowling Green; and sisters, Barbara Cramer, Bowling Green, and Delores Mary (Shad) Hosler, Findlay.

Funeral services were Monday at 11 a.m. at the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, Bowling Green. A private burial follow ed at the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Custar, OH. Visitation was Monday between 9 and 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Dennison, Ryan Lee

Ryan Lee Dennison, 2 weeks old son of Denny and Jen Dennison, Choctaw Lake, London, died at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at Children's Hospital, Columbus.

Born at University Hospital in Columbus on May 17, 2005, he was survived by his parents; maternal grandfather, John (Sandy) O'Neill, Kettering; maternal grandmother, Beverly (Don) Renaud, Port St. Lucie, Fla.; paternal grandparents, Donald and Beverly Dennison, Fostoria; maternal great-grandmother, Kathryn Hoover, Kettering; aunts, Kathleen O'Neill, Kettering; Lee Ann (Tony) Warner, Hilliard; uncles, Patrick (Gaye) O'Neill and Timothy O'Neill, both of Kettering; Douglas (Karen) Dennison, Charlotte, N.C.; David (Julie) Dennison, Granville; and numerous cousins.

Friends called at the Eberle-Fisher Funeral Home, London, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at noon on Saturday. Fr. Mark Hoying officiated at the service. Interment followed in Somerford Township Cemetery.

Dyer, Jeffery M.

Jeffrey M. Dyer, 50, Houston, Texas and formerly of Toledo, died suddenly of natural causes on April 18, 2005 in his home in Houston. Jeffrey was born May 8, 1954 in Fostoria to John W. and Nancy (Bauer) Dyer.

He was survived by his children, Chadwyck, Racheal and Ashley Dyer, all of Toledo; grandchildren, Chad Anthony and Allan Jeffrey Dyer Essig; parents, Nancy Dyer, Toledo; John "Jack" Dyer, Lubbock, TX; and brothers, Gary J., Toledo; Craig, A., Culver City, CA; and Scot E., Houston, TX.

Jeffrey was a self-employed architect in the Toledo and Houston, TX areas.

Jeffrey requested that his body be donated to the University of Texas Medical School.

A memorial service was held in Toledo on Saturday, June 11, 2005 at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Road, at 2 p.m. with visitation to follow until 3:30 p.m.

Corbin, Helen Irene

Helen Irene Corbin, 75, Wayne, died Saturday, June 4, 2005 at her residence. She was born Dec. 22, 1929 in Bowling Green to Charles N. and LaVina E. (Richmond) Snyder. She married Kenneth R. Corbin on Oct. 2, 1948 in Battlecreek, Mich.

She was survived by her husband, Wayne; sons, Kenneth "Butch", and Daniel R., both of Wayne; sisters, Beverly "Jane" Smith, Wayne; Esther Clark, Battlecreek, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Alice Green; and sisters, Clara Clifford, Ethel Nelson, Geraldine Oliver, Geneva Bremmer and Gertrude Thomas.

Mrs. Corbin was a homemaker. She was a member of Kings Parish Church, Cygnet. She attended Fostoria High School.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Thursday at the Barndt Funeral Home, Wayne, with Rev. Donald Goodwin officiating. Burial was in Graham Cemetery, Wayne. Visitation was 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at funeral home, Wayne.

Tommy "Tom" Lee Clagg, age 48, died at 2:47 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at his residence in Benton Ridge. He was born to Harvey and Rose (Marker) Clagg.

He was survived by his wife, Dawn; a son, Timothy Stuart, Benton Ridge; daughter, Brandy Stewart, Carey; mother, Rose Goode, Findlay; and sisters, Cheri Mulhalland, Raleigh Durham, NC; and Cathy Smith of Van Wert.

Visitation was from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay. Funeral service was held at 11a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Rev. Kevin Pees officiating. Burial was in Benton Ridge Cemetery.

Ernest Lee Caudill, 58, Carey, died at 11:42 a.m. Sunday, June 12, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. He was born to Estill and Malta (Click) Caudill.

He was survived by his wife, Brenda J., Carey; son, Jason, Findlay; daughter, Joy Swan, Arlington, VA; sisters, Eula Mae Perkins, Wharton; Mildred Welly and Jean Miller, Carey; and brother, E. Dwight Caudill, Carey.

Disbennett, George W.

George W. Disbennett, 88, Clark Street, died at 10:15 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2005 at his home. He was born to George and Jennie (Drake) Disbennett on May 1, 1917 in Waldo. He married Mildred E. James on Aug. 16, 1942 in Rising Fawn, GA and she died Dec. 3, 2001.

He was survived by a daughter, Mrs. Rev. Allen (Donna) Minton, Fostoria; grandchildren Bob Minton, North Baltimore; Marianne Vanderbeke, Waterford, MI; Susan Gehring, Fostoria; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, five sisters and one brother.

Mr. Disbennett retired in 1974 as a truck driver for Great Lake Trucking in Akron. He was a member of Dillon Road Baptist Church, Fostoria. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Funeral services were 10 a.m. Thursday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen Minton and Dr. Richard Vick officiating. Military honors were performed by United Veterans of Fostoria. Committal services were 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Marlboro Cemetery, Marlboro, Ohio. Visitation was 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

DeVore-Stone, Bertha E.

Bertha E. DeVore-Stone, 97, a lifelong Fostorian, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2005 at 10:25 a.m. at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria. She was born Aug. 19, 1907 in Fostoria to the late Curtis and Nancy Jane (Tucker) Baker. She married Leo Dewey DeVore on June 16, 1926 in Bowling Green and he passed away Feb. 1, 1963. She then married Albert Stone on March 31, 1971 and he died June 11, 1975.

She was the mother of Anna Jane (Lewis) Everhart, Tiffin; Viola (Floyd) Gerlach, Big Prairie; Thomas (Susan) DeVore, Fostoria; nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren; four stepdaughters, Sandy (Richard) Lehmann, Fostoria; Susan (William) Oliver, Fostoria; Alberta (Harold) Durnwald, Findlay, and Joan Raatz, Gagetown, Mich.; 10 step grandchildren and 25 step great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by: a son, Eugene H. DeVore, an infant daughter, Constance June DeVore, a brother, William Baker, and two sisters, Marie Layton and Mable Miller.

Bertha was a lifelong member of the Assembly of God Church, Fostoria. She also had been a nurse's aide for Fostoria Community Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Wed., June 29, 2005 at the Assembly of God Church, Fostoria, with the Rev. Charles Jarvis presiding. Burial followed in Knollcrest Gardens, Arcadia.

Visitation took place Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. in Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, and also on Wed. morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the church.

Memorials were suggested to the church or Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.


Dull, Kathryn Z.

Kathryn Z. Dull, 101, died at 12:05 a.m. Sunday, July 3, 2005 at St. Catherine's Care Center where she was a resident. Born Sept. 2, 1903 in Sandusky county to the late William O. and Laura E. (Yochum) Stainbrook, she married James H. Dull on June 29, 1926 in Iler, Ohio, and he passed away on March 8, 1968.

She was survived by a daughter, Donna J. Hill; grandson, David M. (Kathryn) Hill, Fostoria; great-grandsons, Ryan Hill and Jim Seem; and great-granddaughter, Dawn Seem.

Brothers, Cleadus, Ralph and George Stainbrook, and sister, Ruth Stainbrook, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Dull was a homemaker and a member of Hope Lutheran Church.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Mann-Hare Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Larry Knigga presiding. Committal rites and burial followed in Fountain Cemetery. The family received friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Durst, James Dale

James Dale Durst, 47, of Vero Beach, Fla., died July 5, 2005 at his residence after a prolonged illness. He was born July 21,1957 in Fostoria and moved to Vero Beach, Fla. 15 years ago.

Mr. Durst was a private driver and the owner/operator of J.D. Transportation, of Vero Beach for 10 years. He was a 1976 Fostoria High School graduate and attended Terra Tech Community College.

Surviving were his wife of 12 years, Theresa (Shuff) Durst; daughters, Lisa Durst, Toledo, and Rachel Durst, Athens; stepdaughter, Olivia Del Turco, Vero Beach; parents, Eleanor and Robert Durst, Vero Beach; brothers, Robert and Shawn, both of Vero Beach; sister, Robin Renteria also of Vero Beach.

At the request of the family, there were no services.

Cupp. Mary E.

Mary E. Cupp, age 97, formerly of Leonard Street, Fostoria, and Good Shepherd Home, died 8:45 p.m. Friday July 15, 2005, at Fostoria Community Hospital. Mary was born June 4, 1908 in Hancock County, Ohio to the late Forest S. and Nettie O. (Sloan) Russell. She married Elmer F. Cupp on Sept. 15, 1934 in Vanlue, Ohio and he died Dec. 23, 1996.

Surviving were sons, Robert R., Fostoria; David C. (Ruth Ann), Oak Harbor; daughters, Linda L. (Daniel) Bethel, Mary Ann (R. Terry) Beam and Rita J. (Thomas) Arend, all of Fostoria; 20 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cupp was predeceased by a son Forest; great-granddaughter Anna Louise Bethel; brother James Russell; and sisters Clara Monday Nellie Sheller, Lillian Snyder, Erma Cupp and Ellen Trautman.

Mary worked from 1926-1938 for Ohio Bell Telephone, Findlay. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Fostoria, the Christian Womens Fellowship, served with the Adult Council of Jobs Daughters, and a former member of the hospital auxiliary. She was a 1926 graduate of Findlay High School.

Visitation took place 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2005, the funeral home, with Pastor Gene Crutsinger presiding. Burial was in Knollcrest Gardens, Arcadia.

Doran, Anna R.

Anna R. Doran, 84, formerly of 61 Franklin St., Tiffin, passed away Thursday morning, July 14, 2005 at St. Francis Home, Tiffin. She was born May 2, 1921 to Charles R. and Charlotte E. (Barefoot) Berkheimer in Pleasantville, Pa.

She was survived by a daughter, Judy Ann Smyser, Tiffin; son, Paul Eugene Lobdell, Bascom; sisters, Hilda Davis, CA; Geraldine (Ed) Vincent of Upper Sandusky; grandchildren, Jason Smyser, Melmore; and Nicole (Mike) Glowvinsky, Fremont. Her parents, sisters, Ivadean Sours, Mary Siepp and Donna Jean Tong; and brothers, Henry and an infant brother preceded her in death.

Anna graduated from Melmore High School in 1939. She was a machine operator for 24 years at General Electric, retiring in 1981. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Tiffin, GWOTS and was a past member of Eagles Auxiliary #402.

Graveside services were 10 a.m. Thursday at Seneca Memory Gardens with the Rev. Scott Hayward officiating.

E. Marvin Caudill, 76, 10050 County Highway 5, Carey, died at 10:54 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2005 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky. He was born Aug. 29, 1928 in Johnson County, Kentucky to James and Julia E. (Conley) Caudill. He married Rose E. Higginbotham and they divorced. He married Mary E. Hayman on Jan. 4, 1958.

He was survived by his wife, Mary, Carey; daughters, Billie Jean Winter, Port Orchard, Wash.; Sharon A. (Branson "Bud") Miller, Upper Sandusky; sons, Robert A. Clark, Carey; Danny E. (Sarah) Caudill, North Baltimore; M. Keith (Cherie) Caudill, Sycamore; nine grandchildren, Greg Futrell, McCutchenville; Cassie Carson, Robin Miller and Carl Miller, all of Upper Sandusky; Sara Caudill and Ryan Caudill, both of Findlay; Jacob Caudill, North Baltimore; Tom Winter, Port Orchard, Wash.; and Heather Prevatte, Plain, Wash.; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Anita May, Upper Sandusky; Beulah P. Flemming, Sycamore; and brothers, James J., Vanlue; Harold E., Sycamore; and Charles H., Carey. He was preceded in death by daughter, Luana Farmer; brother, Earl; and sister, Emogene LeMaster.

Mr. Caudill retired after 23 years from the National Lime and Stone Company, Carey. He owned and operated B & M Excavating for 12 years from 1971 to 1983. He was a member of Community Christian Center, Upper Sandusky.

He was a life member of American Legion Post #344, Carey, VFW Post #3759, Carey; and DAV Post #73, Wapakonata. He was also a member of Sager Lodge #513, Lafayette; Valley of Toledo Scottish Rite, Zenobian Shrine Temple, Toledo; Zenobia Shrine Findlay Clowns, Findlay; Tiffin Shrine Club, Tiffin; Wyandot Country Shrine Club, Upper Sandusky; and charter member of the Shrine Legion of Honor, Toledo. He was in the U.S. Navy for nine years and was a Korean War veteran.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, with the Rev. Bill Williamson officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Sycamore, with full military graveside services. Visitation was 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Masonic service was 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Creeger, Clara M.

Clara M. Creeger, 102, formerly of Walnut Street, Fostoria, died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, 2005 at Good Shepherd Home where she was a resident. Mrs. Creeger was born Dec. 20, 1902 in Tiffin to the late Charley and Nettie (Swander) Dolch. She married Clifford E. Creeger on March 1, 1922 in Tiffin and he preceded her in death on March 31, 1993.

Survivors included: daughters, Virginia (Vernal) Below, Martin; and Sylvia (Charles) Leonard, Fostoria; 6 grandchildren; 3 adopted grandchildren; 5 stepgrandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sylva Creeger, Bascom.She was also preceded in death by a son in infancy; brother, Lester Dolch; sister, Ella Schubert; granddaughter, Susan Johnson; and great-grandson, Gary Lee Westfall Jr.

Mrs. Creeger was a homemaker and formerly co-owned Cliff's Boat Basin on Turtle Creek in Oak Harbor retiring in 1967. She was also employed at Autolite in Fostoria during World War II. Mrs. Creeger was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Fostoria and was a former member of the Evangelical Reformed Church and its Circle of Equity.

Funeral services was 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005 at Grace United Church of Christ, Fostoria, with the Rev. Don Giesmann presiding. A luncheon immediately followed services in the church. Graveside committal services were 1:30 p.m. in Fairmont Cemetery, Tiffin. The family received friends on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, and for one hour prior the funeral in the church.

Royce A. Durst, 68, rural Fostoria, died at 6:29 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, 2005 in Mercy Hospital of Tiffin. He was born June 16, 1937 in Seneca County, Ohio, to the late Leroy and Hazel (Keckler) Durst.

Survivors included his companion Rebecca "Becky"; daughter, Peggy (Richard) Mayfield, Greenfield, Ohio; son, Kenneth Allen (Stephanie), Arcadia; grandchildren, Jeannie, Adam, Kenneth Jr., and Alexis; great-grandchildren, Catherine, Edward, Destany, Joshua and Noel; sisters, Rosella Ferguson and Geneva Durst, both of Fostoria; brothers, Vernon (Helen), Burgoon; Berlyn (Thelma), Kansas; Robert (Eleanor), Florida; stepchildren, Theresa (Kevin), Cynthia (Harold), Kimberly (Kenny), and Vincent Jr.; step grandchildren, Bridget, Jennifer, Anthony, Bobbie and Dennis; step great-grandchildren, Alex, Val and Mikie. Royce was preceded in death by sisters, Edna Vance, Bernice Tedrow, Fern Brickner and Jean Miller; and a brother, Leland.

Mr. Durst retired in 1990 from the National Electrical Carbon, Fostoria after 35 years of service.

Decker, Dawn Michelle

Dawn Michelle Decker, 38, Fostoria, died on Saturday, Aug. 27, 005 in Fostoria Community Hospital. She was born on July 6, 1967 in Fostoria to the late F. Norert and Phyllis E. (Benson) Filliater Sr. She married Don R. Decker on Dec. 5, 1987 in Fostoria.

She was survived by her husband, Don, Fostoria; sons, Devon Decker, Donovan Decker and David Brooks and a daughter, Harmmonee Brooks, all at home; sisters, Frances (Gary) Wagner, Bradenton, FL and Linda (Arthur) Schlievert, Findlay; brothers, Ed (Lorrel) and Norbert (Sue) Jr., both of Fostoria. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Chuck.

Dawn was a homemaker and a 1985 graduate of St. Wendelin High School. She was a member of the Carey Conservation Women's Auxiliary.

Visitation was on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005 from 2-4 p.m. And 7-9 p.m. at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial in Knollcrest Gardens, Arcadia followed funeral services on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005 at the funeral home.


Crawford, Garry L.

Garry L. Crawford, 49, Fostoria, died on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005 at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay. He was born on Jan. 18, 1956 in Fostoria to Clifford and Etta (Donaldson) Crawford. He married Drema S. Sharp.

He was survived by his wife, Fostoria; sons, Kile J. and Kraig J., both of Fostoria; daughter Karen E. (Tommy Tyson) Crawford, Findlay; brothers, Richard, Amsden, and Ivan (Debra) Crawford, Kansas; a half-sister, Marilyn (Randall) Thompson, Findlay; and grandchildren, Baylee and Gavin Tyson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James A. Crawford.

Mr. Crawford was a machinist at Honeywell in Fostoria for 28 years and a 1974 graduate of Lakota High School.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. Funeral services were held on Thursday, Sept 1, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Rutledge officiating.


Carrillo, Hector

Hector Carrillo, 34, Bloomdale, died suddenly at 7 p.m. Sunday evening, Sept. 4, 2005 at Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green. Hector was born Dec. 14, 1971 in Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico to Gustavo and Lucha (Hernandez) Carrillo, and they survived in Mexico.

Also surviving is his wife, Yolanda, and two daughters, Mexico; brothers Carlos and Gustava, Jr., Mexico; sister Guadalupe Carrillo, Mexico; aunt, Gloria (Ramon) Velasquez, Fostoria; and uncle, Victor (Diamantina) Carrillo, Fostoria.

Hector was a member of the Church of the Living God, Fostoria, while in Mexico was a restaurant waiter.

Burial took place in Cemetery de Trujillo in Trujillo, Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico. Visitation was from 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday in Hoening Funeral Home.

Dyer, Patricia

Patricia (Cahill) Dyer died at her home in Fort Wayne, Ind. on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005 after fighting a seven-year battle with ovarian cancer.

She was survived by her husband, Bud; mother-in-law, Claudia Dyer, Findlay; cousin, Barb Rinehart, Findlay. She was reunited with her daughter, Jenee Lynn, died on Aug. 11, 1995 following a six-year battle with leukemia, as well as with her parents, Dwight and Rosella Cahill.

Pat was born in Fostoria and moved to Lakewood. She graduated from John Marshall High School and earned her Bachelor and Masters degrees in elementary education from Bowling Green State University Pat began her teaching career in Fostoria. She married Bud Dyer on June 10, 1961. They moved to Fort Wayne in 1966 where she continued teaching an additional 34 years. Pat retired from teaching in 1998.

She and Bud established Camp Jenee, a weekend retreat for adult cancer patients, which was named in loving memory of their daughter in 1996.

Memorial services were 4 p.m. Sunday at the Faith Baptist Church, 6600 Trier Road, Fort Wayne, Ind.Visitation was 1 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, Ind. and two hours prior to the service on Sunday at the church.

Clary, Florence I.

Florence I. Clary, 87, rural Bascom, passed away at her residence, Friday morning, Sept. 23, 2005.

She was born April 28,. 1918 in Caledonia to Scott and Sarah B. (Noblet) Lyon. On June 2, 1945, she married Joseph Lloyd Clary.

She is survived by her husband, of rural Bascom; son, Dwight (Lisa) Clary, Kansas; two daughters, Dorothy (Dennis) Roush, Tiffin; Helen (Frank) Remes, Crown Point, Ind.; nine grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Myron Clary; and a brother, Ralph Lyon.

Mrs. Clary graduated from Caledonia High School in 1937 and from the former Lucas County School of Nursing as a registered nurse in 1943. She studied to become a cosmetologist and worked as a beautician from 1939-1941 to pay for nursing school. She was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. She worked at the former State Hospital for 25 years, retiring in 1984. Previously she had worked for Dr. Pennell, Fostoria Community Hospital and Mercy Hospital.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, at the Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home with Pastor Doug DeVos officiating. Burial will follow in Caledonia Cemetery after a luncheon at First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.

Visitation was 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25 at the funeral home.

Cole, James W.

James W. Cole, 74, Carey, died at 11:55 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005 at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay. He was born to Cecil G. and Golda (Keckler) Cole.

He was survived by children, Larry J., Tiffin; Jeanne Walter, Mt. Duran, Mary Rose

Mary Rose Duran, 80, formerly of North Poplar Street, died at 10:40 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005 at St. Catherine's Care Center where she was a resident.Mary Rose was born on March 31, 1925 in Lorain, Ohio to the late Joseph and Freda (Ruiz) Duran.

Son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Linda Duran, Fostoria, and granddaughters, Tina Duran, Los Angeles, CA, and Annette Duran, Maumee, survived her.

Mrs. Duran retired in 1976 from Bendix (now Honeywell) following more than 30 years of employment. She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church.

At her request, there was no visitation or services. Burial was in the St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery.

Debelak, Lillian

Lillian "Lil" Debelak, 89, 425 Park Ave., died at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005 at St. Catherine's Care Center. She was born March 13, 1916 in Cleveland to the late Mike and Mary (Yedinak) Hrin. She married Frank J. Debelak in September 1940 in Cleveland, and he died June 23, 1987.

Survivors included sons, Dennis F. (Jane) and Roger W. (Sue), both Fostoria; grandchildren, Greg, Jayson, Brian, Ryan, Eric and Tina; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Megan, Olivia, HayLee, Camrin, Avery and Jayson; and sister, Marge Miller, Cleveland. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Stefanik, and a brother, Nick Hrin.

Lillian had owned and operatored the York Town Hotel, Lakewood, the Village Inn, Strongsville, the former Heines Hotel and Restaurant, Fostoria and Loudon Meadows Golf Course, Fostoria. She was a professional ballroom dancer when she met her husband Frank.

Visitation was held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a Christian wake service took place at 8:30 p.m. Private family graveside services took place Thursday in St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery.


Dalton, Rosena M.

Rosena M. Dalton, 100, formerly of Fostoria and Toledo, died at 4:21 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005, at Birchaven Retirement Village, Findlay. She was born Oct. 1, 1905 in Lorain to the late Raymond H. and Cora B. (Johnson) Anderson. She married Emmett Dalton in March 1971 and he died in January 1988.

She was survived by nieces, Jan Stoops, Carol Broyles, Helen Freeman, Rowena Marshall, Sandra Craddolph and Maxine Williams; and nephews, Monte and Dr. Roger Robinson, Phillip Weiker, and Bruce, Gene and Raymond Derricotte. Brothers, Roger, Raymond, and Alan Anderson, and sisters, Bessie Mae Dericotte, Mabel Washington, Carrie Roberts, Hattie Anderson, Martha Robinson and Evelyn Weiker, also preceded her in death.

A Fostoria High School graduate, Mrs. Dalton worked at the Gray Printing Co., Fostoria, for 16 years. She was a member of the Warren AME Church, Fremont, and a former member Zion Baptist Church, Parkersburg, Bethel Baptist Church, Fostoria, and the VFW Auxiliary, Belpre.

Funeral services were noon Saturday, October 15, 2005 in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, with the Rev. Marvin Houston officiating. Interment followed in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria. Friends were invited to call on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

Cramer, Vincent E.

Vincent E. Cramer, 68, Findlay and formerly of Forest, died at 3;30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005 at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay. He was born To Jay E. and Leah J. (Snider) Cramer.

He was survived by daughter, Connie L. Cramer, Carey; and son, Curt L. Cramer, Syracuse, NY.

Craft, Bonita J.

Bonita J. Craft, 74, Carey, died at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, 2005, at her residence. She was born to Roscoe and Myrtle (Dyer) Roark.

She was survived by her husband, Paul K. Craft, Carey; and sister, Edelene Mundy, Shelby.

Churchman Sue M.

Sue M. (Nevada) Churchman was on Friday, Oct. 21, 2005. Oldest child of eight, she was born on May 17, 1910 in Elmira, Ohio, to Daniel and Ida (Gigax) Frey. She married Frank Young in June 1935 and he died in August 1951. She married Dalton "Sam" Churchman on Feb. 8, 1964 and he succumbed Feb. 10, 2000.

She was survived by daughter, Rebecca Cameron, Fostoria; son, Frank Young, Kenner, LA; brother, Pat, Archbold; and sisters, Virginia Frey, Toledo; Georgia (Wayne) Shaffer, Bryan; and Anna (George) Wynn, Adrian, MI., five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Brothers, James and Daryl, and sister, Vivian Rich, preceded her in death.

A 1928 Archbold High School graduate, she attended Defiance College. She was as an elementary teacher for 17 years in the Elmira, Jackson Liberty and Longfellow (Fostoria) school systems.

She and her best friend, Marion (Richard) Edison, co-founded the Clothes Closet, a women's dress shop located in downtown Fostoria. She was also a co-founder of the Forum Study Club.

She was a member of the Collingwood Presbyterian Church, Toledo; the Collingwood Presbyterian Women's Church Guild; and the First Presbyterian Church, Fostoria.

Private graveside services were conducted and there was no visitation. Burial arrangements were handled by Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home.

Clagg, Archie I.

Archie I. Clagg, 76, Cherry St., died at 11:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005 at the Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria. He was born July 20, 1929 in Bidwell to Ivan and Lizzie (Crist) Clagg. He married Leona F. Jay on July 1, 1950 in Fostoria.

He was survived by his wife,Fostoria; sons, M. Jeff (Patricia), Fostoria; Gary (Paula), Tiffin; daughter, Karen (Denny) Below, Findlay; brother, Joe B., Fostoria; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael; brothers, Donald, John, Harvey, Glen and Paul; and sisters, H. Jean Kiser and Annie Saxton.

Mr. Clagg retired from Daughtery Trucking Co. where he drove trucks. He was a member of First Christian Church, Fostoria. He was an U.S. Air Force veteran having served in the Korean Conflict and a member of the Fostoria American Legion.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Crutsinger officiating. Burial was in Fountain Cemetery. Visitation was 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Creeger, Lorenzo Dow

Lorenzo Dow "L.D." Creeger, 92, formerly of 3591 W. CR 48, Tiffin, Ohio, died at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005 in Wyandot County Nursing Home, Upper Sandusky. He was born Feb. 20, 1913 in Hopewell Township, to the late Russell E. and Alma E. (Shaferly) Creeger. His wife, Evelyn D. (Riehm) Creeger, whom he married Dec. 24, 1936, in Bloomville UCC, survived.

Other survivors included: daughter, Mrs. Gregory (Denise Ann (Creeger) Stull of Tiffin; grandchildren, Roshelle, Wayne, Thomas and Ivory Stull; and sister, Mrs. Celestia Koch of Fostoria. Preceding him in death were brothers, Maurice and Elmer and sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Streng and Mrs. Catherine Dundore.

A lifetime farmer, Mr. Creeger was a 65 year member of Union United Church of Christ, Bascom, board member of the Bascom Elevator and its Bowling Team; member of ASCS Board; served as clerk of Hopewell-Loudon Board of Education and was a member of the Grange. An avid sports fan, he attended Columbian High School.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, in Union United Church of Christ, Bascom, with Pastor Jim Michaels and Rev. Carl Pelzer officiating. Burial was in Sandridge Cemetery, Bascom. Friends called 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005 at Engle-Shook Funeral Home, Tiffin, and 9:30 -10:30 a.m. Monday at Union United Church of Christ, Bascom.

DiCesare, Peter P.

Peter P. DiCesare, 79, Francis Avenue, died 6:17 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, in Fostoria Community Hospital. Pete was born April 5, 1926 in Fostoria to the late Francisco and Maria (Capano) DiCesare. He married Agatha "Peg" Wehrle in 1954 and they later divorced, and she survived in Fostoria.

Also surviving were sons, Peter F. (Mona), David (Leslie), and Francis, all of Fostoria; daughter, Jane M. (Robert) McGee, Fostoria; along with eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rosina J. Fritz, Fostoria. Pete was preceded in death by two brothers, Nicholas and Angelo.

Pete had owned and operated the former Knotty Pine, Fostoria for more than 40 years. He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, United Sportsman Club, Moose, Eagles, and Amvets all of Fostoria. He was a former member of the Fostoria VFW and American Legion. He was a US Army World War II veteran, and also attended St. Wendelin Schools.

Visitation was 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Hoening Funeral Home, where a Christian Wake service was at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was 1 p.m. Friday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church where a Rosary was prayed at 12:30 p.m. Burial was in the parish cemetery, where the United Veteran of Fostoria provided military honors.

Memorials were suggested to St Wendelin Schools Educational Foundation or charity of the donors choice.


Dible, Richelle Lee Anna

Richelle Lee Anna Dible, 8, Melmore, died at 2:07 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Toledo, from injuries received from a truck and house collision in Melmore. She was born June 25, 1997 in Findlay at Richard A. Dible and Christina (Wagner) Wollett and they survive.

She was also survived by brothers, Ryan Wollett, Gregory Wollett and Richi Dible, all at home; maternal grandparents, Elfriede Wagner and Cletus A. Wagner; paternal grandmother, Linda Dible, Carey; paternal great-grandparents, Hager and Arlette Bowling; great-grandmother, Anna Lee Caudill; stepgrandmother, Julie Wagner; uncle and aunt, Raymond and Janet Wagner, Tiffin; Rodney and Janet Dible and Mike and Karen Jones; and cousins Bridgett, Robert and Nancy Wagner, Jeremiah and Elizebeth, Cardington; Jessica and April McKitrick and Whyett Orians.

She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Richard Dible; great-grandfathers, Harry Dible and Hansel Caudill.

Richelle was a third grader at Melmore Elementary School. She enjoyed learning German from her grandmother. She attended the Melmore United Methodist Church, Melmore.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Friday at the Beach Funeral Home, Carey, with the Rev. Thomas Gruver officiating. Burial was in Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey. Visitation was after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Cooper, Arthur R. “Butch”

Arthur R. "Butch" Cooper, 69, Findlay died 7:05 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005 at at Blakely Care Center, North Baltimore. He was born to the late Robert and Eulalie P. (Wilkinson) Cooper.

He was survived by a brother, Athel (Pete), Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Phyllis L. Benjamin , Harriman, Tenn.

Graveside services were on 10 a.m. Wednesday at Maple Grove Cemetery Findlay with Pastor Darrin A. Forehand officiating.

Colatruglio, Hester

Hester Colatruglio, 76, Columbus, died at 10:52 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005 at Ohio State University Hospital. She was born to Elijah and Evelyn (Richards) Weatherford.

She was survived by children, Rev. Linda McBeth, Fostoria; Pamela R. Simms and Tyrone L. Simms, both of Columbus; Theodore Anthony Simms and Lori Young, both of Findlay; and Eric E. Simms, Chicago, IL.

Memorial service was 11 a.m. Dec. 3 at the Faith Chapel A.M.E., 220 Sycamore St., with the Rev. Archie L. White officiating.

Cooper, James L. II

James L. Cooper II, 48, SR 18, died at 8:16 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005 at Fostoria Community Hospital. He was born June 28, 1957 in Bermington, Wash., to James and Elizabeth "Sue" (Nye) Cooper Sr. He married Diane Kay Haefer on Oct. 18, 1975 in Fostoria.

He as survived by his father, James (Arlene), Sr., Bascom; mother, Sue (Duane) Pierce, Fostoria; wife, Fostoria; sons, Scott (Rebecca) Scherger, Columbus; James (Chandra) L. III, Fostoria; Kevin (Joanna) L., Fostoria; sisters, Shae Walters, Fostoria; Mary Hickle, Bettsville; and grandchildren, James IV, Toriy, McCenzye Cooper, Trenton, Bryden, Kai Scherger and Jacob Krupp.

Mr. Cooper was a machine operator at Norton Manufacturing Company. He earned his GED in 1994 and attended Terra Community College studying law enforcement. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was Fostoria Emergency Corps field commander for more than 20 years and a Seneca County reserve deputy sheriff.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Goodwin officiating. Burial was in Sand Ridge Cemetery, Bascom with military honors performed by the United Veterans of Fostoria. Visitation was 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Coleman, Virgil C.

Virgil C. Coleman, 84, New Riegel, died 4:57 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005 in St. Francis Home, Tiffin. He was born May 6, 1921 in Carey to the late Walter M. and Helena R. (Reinhart) Coleman. He married Bertha A. Hohman on May 17, 1947 in St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel, and she survived in New Riegel.

Also surviving were daughters, Janice (Ronald) Overmyer, Oak Harbor; Beverly (James) Willman, Tiffin; Martha (William) Cheetham Jr., Sandusky; Elaine (David) Staib, New Riegel; Anita (W. Alan) Stephenson, Tiffin; Charlene (Thomas) Wilhelm, Fremont; sons, Leonard (Mary Lou), Napoleon; Dennis (Nancy), Holland; Ronald (Jane), Tiffin; Paul (Ranea), Powell; 24 grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters, Berneda Moes, Cleora Hendricks, and Kathleen Stumpp, all of Fostoria; Marilyn (John) Welly, Tiffin; and brothers, Edgar (Mary), Fostoria; and Duane, Bascom. He was preceded in death by brothers, Gerald, Donald and Florian; sister, Cyrilla Coleman; and granddaughter, Renee Staib.

Virgil retired in 1983 from the Union Carbide, Fostoria (now National Electrical Carbon) after 42 years of service. He was a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel, Catholic Knights of Ohio Branch 52, New Riegel, past governor of Moose Lodge # 872, New Riegel, Knights of Columbus St. Gaspar Council, Frenchtown, New Riegel American Legion Post # 354 where he was past commander and Sandusky River Coon Hunters Club. He served as mayor of New Riegel for four years, and village councilman for 12 years. Virgil served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was the recipient of three bronze stars.

Visitation took place 2-8 p.m. Sunday in Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria where a Christian wake service took place at 7:30 p.m. followed by an American Legion and CK of O memorial service. Mass of Christian Burial was 10:30 a.m. Monday in All Saints Parish, New Riegel, where visitation was from 9:30 a.m. until the Rosary was prayed at 10:15 a.m. all at the church. Father Ron Schock officiated. Burial followed in the parish cemetery, where the New Riegel American Legion provided military honors.

Memorials were suggested to the CK of O Vocational Fund 2 or All Saints Parish.


Dyer Claudia A.

Claudia A. Dyer, 93, passed away at 10:15 a.m., Sunday, December 11, 2005 at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria, where she resided. Born in Celina, Ohio on July 8, 1912 to the late Addis and Martha (White) Painter-McIlroy, she married Pete William Dyer on Sept. 18, 1929 in Fostoria. He preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 1982.

Survivors included: sons, Pete William (Ann), Jr., Frostproof, FL and Bud L., Ft. Wayne, IN; niece, Deb Sue (Tom) Sheets, Fostoria; grandchildren, Peg (Mark) Slaughterbeck, Deb Lynn (Daryl) Camper, Ric (Karen) Dyer, Terri (Gary) Gallant, Tom Dyer and Jodi Grim; 22 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Granddaughter, Jenee Dyer, great grandchildren, Amy and Chad Reidling, daughter-in-law, Pat Cahill Dyer, brothers, Lyle Painter, Bevon Painter, Sr., and Clifford McIlroy, and sisters, Cora Davis, Edith Grant, Naomia Cantwil, Erma Hawkins and Clarice Mahaney, also preceded her in death.

Claudia was a homemaker and lived in Fostoria for most of her life.

Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2005 in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial followed in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria. Visitation was held on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday for one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.

Conine, Dororthy Mae

Dorothy Mae Conine, 83, of 21903 Ohio 12, died at 2:20 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, 2005 at the Independence House in Fostoria. She was born on Jan. 30, 1922 in Wayne to the late Charles and Bertha (Opfer) Deiter. On Aug. 14, 1948 she married Carl E. Conine and he died on Jan. 21, 2000.

She was a homemaker and had worked as a bookkeeper for J.C. Penney Co. in Fostoria. She was a member of the Fostoria Baptist Church.

Dorothy was survived by sons, Gary E. (Karen S.) and Ronald L. (Lynette R.), both of rural Fostoria; Douglas M. (Joan M.), rural Findlay; and daughter, Sandra K. She was preceded in death by brothers, Robert, Edison, Milburn, Harry and Alvan Deiter; and sisters, Helen Emerine, Tina Kelbley, Deana Mosier, and Donna Schetter.

Visitation was 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21 and 10-11am on Thursday at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay. The funeral was 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor William Schultz officiating. Interment was at Knollcrest Gardens, Arcadia.

Dieterle, Violet M.

Violet M. (Lambert) Dieterle, 90, Good Shepherd Home and formerly of Bay View passed away on Tuesday evening, Dec. 13, 2005 in Fostoria Community Hospital unexpectedly. She was born on Sept. 2, 1915 in Tiffin.

Mrs. Dieterle was survived by a daughter-in-law, Leota, West Millgrove; grandson, Steve (Kathy), Fostoria; great-grandchildren, Shelby and Levi Dieterle, Fostoria; and nephew, Gary Lambert of Lancaster, Pa. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Dieterle Sr. in 1992; son, George Dieterle Jr. in 1991; granddaughter, Cheryl Dieterle in 1988; her parents, Arthur J. and Mary (Bernard) Lambert; and brother; Albert Lambert.

She retired from the former Providence Hospital in 1986, where she worked in the housekeeping department. She was a member of the Wayside Temple in Castalia and the Eagles Club, F.O.E. #430, in Fostoria.

There was no visitation. Groff Funeral Homes, 1607 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870 was in charge of the arrangements. Burial was in the River View Cemetery of West Millgrove.
