Cholewinski, James J.
Retired US missile inspector

James J. Cholewinski, 72, of 936 Country Club Drive, Fostoria, where he had resided since November, died at 11:28 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000, in the Medical College of Ohio, Toledo. He previously lived in California for 35 years.

He was born Jan. 16, 1928, in Culver, Ind., to the late Stanley F. and Lucy J. (Wilke) Cholewinski. His wife, Aline Ridings, survives in North Carolina.

Survivors also include two sons, Bryan H. Cavender of Knox, Ind. and James John Cholewinski of Thornton, Colo.; two stepdaughters, Carol Risner and Gail Cantrell, both of Knox.; a stepson, Ronald E. Cavender of Fort Wayne, Ind.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sister Mary Jane Cholewinski O.L.V.M. of Toledo, Marie Mapel and LaVerne C. Anderson, both of Fostoria; and a brother, Carl M. Cholewinski of Anaheim, Calif.

Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Jerry and Stanley Cholewinski.

Mr. Cholewinski, a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp and Korean Conflict Army Veteran, retired in 1991 as a US missile inspector from Seal Beach Weapons Station in California.

A 1946 graduate of Knox High School, he was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria.

A memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, where the rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. The United Veterans of Fostoria also will conduct military honors at the church. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Crown Hill Cemetery, Knox, with the Rev. John Scott officiating. There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be made to Community Hospice Care-Tiffin, in care of the Hoening Funeral Home, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, OH 44830, who are in charge of arrangements.




Coppus, Ruthanne (Flechtner)

Ruthannne (Flechtner) Coppus, of Tucson, Ariz., died Jan. 5, 2001 in Tucson.

    She was born in 1923 in Fostoria,  She married Dale Coppus April 8, 1944 and he preceded her in death

    She is survived by one daughter, Tina Bentley, and one son, George Coppus, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Coppus worked as a registered nurse for 12 years in Tucson.  She attended Toledo School of Nursing, where she graduated in 1944.

    A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at Catalina Methodist Chapel in Tucson.  Arrangements are being made by Adair Funeral Homes Dodge Chapel, Tucson.

    Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 1001 N. Richey Boulevard, Tucson in her memory


 

Camp, Julaine

CLEVELAND -- Word has been received of the death of Julaine Camp, 46, of Cleveland, and formerly of Findlay.

She was born May 22, 1954 in Lima to Junior and Florinda Cephas. She was married to John Steven Camp. He survives in Dayton.

Also surviving are four children, Jeremi of Los Angeles, Calif.; Jaron and Jamaal, both of Findlay; Jyreeta Camp, Dayton; two grandchildren; three brothers, DeWayne Cephas, Los Angeles, Calif.; Rodney Cephas, Fostoria; Arnold Cephas, Fort Washington, Md.; and two sisters, Brenda Cephas Reese, Shaker Heights; and Jeannette Cephas, Yonkers, N.Y.

Mrs. Camp graduated from Shawnee High School, Lima, and attended Wright State University, Dayton.

She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Cleveland, and a former member of St. Paul AME Church, Lima, and Mason Chapel AME Church, Findlay.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at Boyd and Son Funeral Home, Warrensville Heights.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.


Campbell, Christopher G.
2000 FHS graduate

Christopher G. Campbell, 19, of 411 Kennard St., Fostoria, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, in the Medical College of Ohio Hospital, Toledo.

He was born Sept. 28, 1981, in Toledo, to Wayne T. and Charleen A. (Fairley) Campbell. His father survives in Louisville, Ky. His mother survives in Fostoria.

Other survivors include: his grandfathers, George Campbell of Cleveland and Charles Fairley of Fostoria; grandmothers, Jackie Wallace of Cleveland and Delia Fant-Fairley of Fostoria; a stepbrother, Wayne C. Campbell of Toledo; and aunts and uncles.

A brother, LaMont A. Campbell, preceded him in death.

Mr. Campbell, a 2000 graduate of Fostoria High School, had been a member of its varsity football, basketball and track teams.

A member of Faith AME Church and the Geary Family YMCA, both of Fostoria, he enjoyed working with electronics.

The Rev. Thomas H. Fant will be the officiant at the 1 p.m. Thursday service in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. Interment will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Colburn, Clair M. Jr.
Fostoria resident's father

Clair M. Colburn, Jr., 67, of Steubenville died unexpectedly Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001, at Trinity West, Steubenville.

He was born in Columbus July 24, 1933, to C. Marvin and Velma (Roberts) Colburn, who preceded him in death as did a brother, Ronald Colburn.

He married Darlene L. Hauck Nov. 26, 1955. She survives along with: two sons, Jeffrey Colburn of Fostoria and Curt Colburn of Lewis Center; two daughters, Robin Ricker of Dublin and Mrs. Bruce Tankovich of Heath; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; and two sisters, Mrs. John (Linda) Hauck of Rockbridge and Karla Colburn of Whitehall.

He was a graduate of Columbus East High School, a U.S. Army veteran and a retired manager of Columbia Gas of Ohio with 42 years of service at Columbus, Newark, Logan, Tiffin and Steubenville/Wintersville. He was a member of Jefferson County Mental Health Alcohol and Drug Addiction Board. Past memberships include: Hilliard Ohio Optimists; Newark Lions Club; Logan-Rotary, Chamber of Commerce Board and United Way Campaign; Tiffin-Rotary, Junior Achievement, United Way Board of Directors; president, Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; Steubenville-Rotary, Jefferson County United Way Campaign Division Chairman, board member and past president of Jefferson County American Red Cross Board, past chairman of Fort Steuben Council of Boy Scouts of America Board, board member and past chairman of Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, past president of Community Improvement Corp., Jefferson County Republican Party Central Committee and vice chairman of Executive Committee, Jefferson County Board of Elections from 1992-1996; an avid reader and loyal fan of Ohio State and Cleveland Browns football teams.

The service will be at 8:30 p.m. today at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville, with the Rev. Jeff Proya and Mr. W. Curtis Klein officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Dieter, Donald E.
 

Funeral services for Donald E. Dieter, 67, of 337 Summit St., Fostoria, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, the Rev. Gus Christo-Baker officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Dieter died at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001 at his residence.

He was born Aug. 10, 1933 in Risingsun to Otto K. and Glenolia E. (Todd) Dieter. He married Martha J. Strong on April 2, 1954 at St. Paul's Church, Risingsun, and she survives.

Also surviving are two sons, James D. of Dayton; and Douglas E. of Burlington, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Kimberly Ann) Butcher, Fostoria; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Robert (Elaine) Holqueist, Titusville, Pa.

Mr. Dieter retired in 1993 after nearly 40 years as a laborer at Union Carbide (now National Electric Carbon), Fostoria.

He graduated from Risingsun High School in 1951.

He was a member of Scott Trinity United Methodist Church, Risingsun, where he was a Sunday school superintendent, lay leader and member of Pastor Parish Relations committee.

Chambers, Neva M.

Neva M. Chambers, 78, of US 23, Fostoria, died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at Fostoria Community Hospital.

She was born April 17, 1922, in Rudolph to William and Anna (Stump) Carmean. She married Merle G. Chambers on Aug. 11, 1940, in Risingsun and he died June 16, 1994.

Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Marilyn) Painter of Fostoria and Mrs. John (Caryl) Risk of Fairfield County; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lorence Carmean of Rudolph.

A brother, Walter Carmean, is also deceased.

Mrs. Chambers was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Fostoria.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria with the Rev. Russell Gumm and the Rev. Robert Chew officiating. Burial will be in Knollcrest Gardens near Arcadia

Visitation will be 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene or to a charity of the donor's choice.


Cramer, Orlo Henry
Former Ford Motor Employee

Orlo Henry "Budd" Cramer, 87, of 906 N. Main St., Fostoria, died at 9:55 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, in St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria

He was born April 16, 1913, in Fostoria, to Orlo P. and Pearl (Freese) Cramer. On Aug. 31, 1935, he married Lois McKibben. She died March 17, 1987. He later married Sara Jane Phipps Aug. 20, 1988. She survives in Fostoria.

Survivors also include: three stepdaughters, Mrs. Lowell (Barbara) Souder of Prudenville, Mich., Mrs. Ottis (Jacqueline) Bowe of Duwagiac, Mich., and Mrs. James (Joan) Vanderhoff of Fostoria; eight step-grandchildren and 14 step-great-grandchildren.

A sister, Mrs. Vern (LaVon) Purkey is deceased.

A World War II U.S. Navy veteran, he attended Wesley United Methodist Church, Fostoria.

Mr. Cramer worked at the Ford Motor Co. in Fostoria (now Honeywell) for many years

The service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore.

Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Carter, Wilda

A service to celebrate the life of Wilda Carter, 88, of 525 Summit St., Fostoria, will be held at lp.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church, Fostoria.

A reception will follow the service. There will be no visitation.

Mrs. Carter died early Sunday, March 4, 2001 at her residence.

She was born Oct. 24, 1912 in Risingsun to William E. and Tessie (Walters) Bates. She married Dr. James W. Carter on July 3, 1938, and he survives.

Also surving are two daughters, Jill Knuth, Stanford, Calif.; Diana Baxter, Indianapolis, Ind.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Frances Cunningham, Grand Rapids, Mich.; and a brother, Robert Bates, Raleigh, N.C.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Mac Bates. Mrs. Carter taught first grade at Crocker Street School, Fostoria.

She graduated in 1930 from Fostoria High School and earned a teaching certificate from Bowling Green State University.

She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, where she served on many committees and held offices ranging from disrict president of Epworth League to district president of WSCS. During the 1950's and 60's, she also was involved with the religious education program in the public schools.

Decker, Minnie

Funeral services for Merlin Ray Decker, 80, and his wife, Minnie Decker, 81, of Pleasant Lake, Mich. will be held at 11a.m. Thursday at Coffee County Funeral Chapel, Manchester, Tenn., the Rev. Lewis England officiating. Burial will be in Blanton Chapel Cemetery, Manchester.

Mr. and Mrs. Decker both died of natural causes Sunday, March 4, 2001 in Pleasant Lake.

Mr. Decker was born May 10, 1920 in Hancock County to Cloyd and Agatha Decker. He married Minnie Farrar on August 6, 1941.

Surviving are a son, Larry of Manchester, Tenn.; two daughters, Linda Faye Patterson, Findlay; Deborah Wetzel, Jackson, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Decker also is survived by a brother, Willard of Indianapolis, Inc.; and a half-sister, June Hall, Marysville, Wash.

Mr. Decker was a retired terminal manager for Marathon Oil Co., Jackson, Mich.

He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.

He attended First Christian Church.

Mrs. Decker was born Feb. 10, 1920 in Manchester, Tenn. to John and Zora (West) Farrar.

She is survived by two brothers, Carl and John Farrar, both of Manchester, Tenn.; and three sisters, Helen Stephens, Manchester, Tenn.; Evelyn Bryan, Hillsboro, Tenn.; and Ann Moyer, Fostoria.

Mrs. Decker was a homemaker.

She was a member of Blanton Chapel United Methodist Church, Manchester, Tenn.


Donaldson, Paul L., Sr.

Funeral services for Paul L. Donaldson Sr., 67, of 1725 Walnut St., Fostoria, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, the Rev. Dr. Larry W. Knigga officiating. Burial will be in Knollcrest Gardens, near Arcadia, where military rites will be conducted by the United Veterans of Fostoria.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where a Moose memorial service will be held at 7p.m.

Mr. Donaldson died at 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 16, 1933, in Findlay to Stanley P. and Lula M. (Warner) Donaldson. His mother, Lula M. Donaldson-Hindall, survives in Findlay. He married Henrietta A. Berger on March 30, 1956, in Fostoria, and she survives.

Survivors also include two sons, Paul L. Jr. of Tiffin; and Leonard W. of Fostoria; two daughters, Mrs. Leo (Vickie) Dannenberger, Bradner; and Mrs. Mario (Dawn) DeLaRosa, Fostoria; 10 grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; three half brothers, Rupert Hindall, Mount Cory; Lou Hindall, North Baltimore; and Joe Hindall, Findlay; and two sisters, Patricia Nungester and Mrs. James (Donna) Bender, both of Findlay.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

Mr. Donaldson retired in 1994 as a tool and die engineer at General Dynamics, Lima, after 36 years of service.

He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and Moose Lodge 1567, both in Fostoria.

He was a 1951 graduate of Fostoria High School.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.

CLARK, SHIRLEY J.

Funeral services for Shirley J. Clark, 51, of 815 Shannon St., Toledo, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, the Rev. T.A. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Ms. Clark died at 3:37 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2001 at St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.

She was born Aug. 9, 1949 in Sikeston, Mo. to Archie L. and Rosie L. (West) Tatum. Her mother and stepfather, Rosie and James W. Lynch, survive in Fostoria.

Also surviving are four sons, Rodney A. and Anthony S. Ferguson, both of Fostoria; John D. Ferguson, Lakewood; Danny Clark Jr., address unknown; four daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Toya) Gravely, Columbus; Monica Ferguson, Reston, Va.; Mrs. Marty (Tracey) Farber, Findlay; Danielle R. Clark, address unknown; 12 grandchildren; two stepbrothers, Ali Tatum, Fostoria; James Lynch Jr., in Connecticut; two stepsisters, Jena Haralson and Jodi Jones, both of Fostoria; and a stepmother, Karen Tatum, Fostoria.

She was preceded in death by a son, Archie D. Ferguson.

Ms. Clark was a homemaker. She was a certified nursing assistant at Good Shephard Nursing Home, Fostoria, and had worked at General Electric, Marathon Oil Co. and Whirlpool.

She was a 1967 graduate of Fostoria High School and attended Bowling Green State University, Tiffin University and the University of Findlay, majoring in business administration. She also attended Terra Technical College and studied nursing.

Ms. Clark was a former member of Bethel Baptist Church, Fostoria.

Memorials may be made to the church's building fund.


CONINE, JANA

Jana Conine, 54, of 718 Circle Drive, Fostoria, died at 11:20 a.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at her home.

She was born on July 2, 1946, in Risingsun, to Alfred L. and Georgeann M. (Huff) Conine. Her father is deceased and her mother survives in Fostoria.

Other survivors include two brothers, Jack C. Conine and Kevin L. Conine, both of Fostoria.

Maternal grandparents Charles Huff and Gertrude (Huff) Correll and paternal grandparents Charles and Ella Conine are deceased.

Services are private with interment at the Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria. There will be no visitation.

DILDINE, ROBERT E.

Robert E. Dildine, 82, of 278 N. Sandusky St., died at 8:40 p.m., Sunday, April 1, 2001, in the St. Francis Home.

He was born November 16, 1918, in Tiffin, to Charles G. and Mary Ann (Dutt) Dildine, Sr. On December 9, 1939, in Tiffin, he married Helen C. Sherman, and she survives.

Survivors also include: two sons, William O. Dildine, St. Francis Home, and Robert P. Dildine, of San Antonio, TX.; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Rebecca Ann) Dunn of Fostoria and Mrs. Keith (Mary C.) Niederkohr of Luckey; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are: two brothers, William F. and Charles G. Dildine, Jr.

Mr. Dildine, a 1936 graduate of Columbian High School, retired in 1981 after 41 years as a lineman for the Ohio Power Company. He was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Amvets Post 48, VFW Post 2858, American Legion Post 169, and a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 402. He also served in the U.S. Army in Africa and the Middle East theater in WWII.

Services will take place 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Turner-Engle Funeral Home; and will be officiated by the Rev. Scott Hayward.

Burial will be at the Greenlawn Cemetery.

Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial may be made to the MS Society of Northwest Ohio.


CLARK, ROY D.

Roy D. Clark, 72, of 214 N. Tarr St., North Baltimore, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001 at his residence.

He was born May 9, 1928 in Bloomdale to Lewis and Alwilda (Clark) Clark. He married Carol Jean McCracken in March 1953, and she died in April 1968. He then married Juanita Harmon on Aug. 24, 1970 and she survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Roy II of Rudolph; Steve of Powell; three stepsons, Rick Harmon, Sidney; Robert Harmon, Fostoria; Chris Harmon, Bowling Green; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. Jim (Winifred) McClanahan and Mrs. Bill (Jean) Long, both of Findlay; Mrs. Bert (Donnie) Selly, in California; Janice Lewis, London, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Charles; and five sisters, Stella Smith, Opal August, Louise Harmon, Frieda Cline, Leales Risser.

Mr. Clark was a retired distributor of British Petroleum (formerly Sohio).

He was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, North Baltimore, and its choir.

He served in the U.S. Army Artillery in Germany and Korea.

He was a member of North Baltimore American Legion Post 539 and recently served as finance officer. He was active with and past president of North Baltimore Junior Chamber of Commerce.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Smith-Crates Funeral Home, North Baltimore, the Revs. George Hamblin and Paul Eichar officiating. Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery, Bloom Township, Wood County.

Visitation will be held from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or Bridge Hospice.

Mrs. Cameron-Ward died at 1:25 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2001 at Independence House, Fostoria.

She was born Dec. 24, 1904 in Perry Township, Wood County to Wilson and Amanda (Bowers) Stearns. She married George R. Cameron in 1929, and he died in 1948. She later married C. Richard Ward in 1950, and he died in 1976.

Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Gray, Fostoria; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Cameron; a stepson, William T. Ward; a grandchild; four brothers, Louis, Fred, Herschel and Guy Stearns; and a sister, Florence Whitman.

Mrs. Cameron-Ward was a homemaker.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Fostoria, Fostoria Country Club and Catawba Island Club. She was a former member of Fostoria Chapter 94 OES.

Mrs. Cameron-Ward graduated in 1922 from Fostoria High School. She also graduated from Tiffin Business College.

DOLL, JAMEY L.

Private funeral services for Jamey L. Doll, 23, of South Main Street, Fostoria, will be held.

No visitation will be held.

Mr. Doll was found dead Wednesday evening, April 11, 2001 in the 100 block of East South Street, Fostoria.

He was born July 15, 1977 in Tiffin to Milton and Vickie (Sager) Doll, and they survive in Fostoria.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Scott (Amy) Kirkpatrick and Brandy Doll, both of Fostoria; a brother, Justin of Fostoria; a paternal grandmother, Dorothy Thompson, Tiffin; and a maternal grandmother, Laurabelle Sager, Tiffin.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Joshua.

CLAUSS, NORMAN F.

Norman F. Clauss, 38, of 1308 42nd Street, died at 9:20 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2001, at the Toledo Hospital.

He was born July 5, 1962, in Fostoria, to George F. and Lois A. (Boyd) Clauss, and they both survive. His fiancé, Sheryl J. Burtch survives in Fostoria.

Other survivors include: brothers, David F. and Robert S. Clauss both of Fostoria, and Michael W. Clauss of Adrian.

Preceding him in death is a sister, Ellen Clauss.

Mr. Clauss, was a 1981 graduate of Lakota High School, Owens Community College graduate, with an Associate Degree, and a Terra Community College graduate, earning four Associates Degrees.

He had been employed for several years as a Child Life Assistant at Toledo Hospital. He was a member of TRIO (Transplant Recipients) and a Cystic Fibrosis summer camp counselor for many years.

The Rev. Ralph N. Geiger will officiate services at 10 a.m., Wednesday, at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery.

Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.

CARTWRIGHT, VON L.

Funeral services for Von L. Cartwright, 83, of Mesa, Ariz., and of Findlay, will be held at a later date at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, Calif.

Mr. Cartwright died Monday, April 16, 2001 in Mesa, Ariz.

He was born Jan. 20, 1918 in Bogalusa, Ala. He married Faye White on June 24, 1995 in Fostoria, and she survives.

Also surviving are a son, Von of Rogers, Ark.; a grandchild; and a sister, June Davis, Ventura, Calif.

Mr. Cartwright retired as a pilot for the U.S. Air Force after 27 years. He also worked for the State of California for 10 years.

COLE, MARY E.

Mary E. Cole, 84, of 201 east South St., Carey, died at 3:36 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2001. She was born April 12, 1917 to Howard and Minnie (Agerter) Shaffer. On February 4, 1938 she married Henry A. Cole, Sr., he died Nov. 21, 1990.

Surviving include: three sons, Henry Cole, Jr., Ricky Cole and Donald Cole, all of Carey; five daughters, Mrs. Deanna Stevens of Fostoria, Mrs. Margaret Cramer of Fostoria, Mrs. Dorothy Graves of Carey, Rosemary Billock of Carey and Mrs. Cathy Parsons of Carey, six brothers, Albert Shaffer of New Riegel, Ralph Shaffer of Tiffin, Eddie Shaffer of Lovell, Bob Shaffer of Nevada, John Shaffer of Carey and Harold Shaffer of Marion, a sister, Eileen Shaffer of Upper Sandusky, 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.

Deceased are: a son, Gene Cole; and three brothers, Paul, Frank and Glen Shaffer. Mrs. Cole was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith.

The Pastor Bryan Tilburt will officiate the 1 p.m. Saturday funeral service at the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home in Carey. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Vanlue.

Former Autolite employee

Bernard "Bernie" Corson Davies, 72, of 1312 Countryside Drive, died at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2001 at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center.

He was born May 17, 1928 in Vaughnsville to Ellis and Virginia (Corson) Davies. He married Mary Lou Schwab on Aug. 8, 1952 and she survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Shirley Fletcher and Ellen Hoy, both of Findlay; Betty Kline, Fremont; nine grandchildren; a step-grandchild; and three sisters, Alice Davies, Arizona; Noreen Stollberg, California; Jane Davies, Findlay.

Mr. Davies retired in 1990 as a buyer from Autolite, Fostoria, where he had worked for 33 years.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of McComb Church of Christ. He graduated from Pandora High School and Bowling Green State University. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, the Rev. Rick Broughton officiating. Private burial will be in Pandora Cemetery.

Zada A. Day, 61, of East Sixth Street, Fostoria, died at 2:20 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2001 at Fostoria Community Hospital.

She was born Feb. 6, 1940 in Fostoria to Lloyd J. and Hazel M. (Hale) McHaffie. She married Bobby Day on July 3, 1959 in Fostoria, and he died March 11, 1992.

Surviving are a son, Douglas of Fostoria; two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Brenda) Hernandez and Mrs. Bill (Debra) Myers, both of Fostoria; and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Day was a homemaker.

She was a past member of Fostoria Moose and Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.

Mr. Duvall died at 2:19 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2001 at St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria.

He was born Jan. 8, 1924 in Geneva to Clarence M. and Ethel (Tuttle) Duvall. He married Mary Stevenson on Aug. 27, 1951 in Fostoria, and she survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Merrill (Deborah) Ward, Fostoria; and seven grandchildren.

Mr. Duvall was a car inspector for Norfolk-Western Railroad for 27 years, retiring in 1975.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Fostoria Assembly of God.

Mrs. Craft died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2001 at Winebrenner Village.

She was born April 18, 1933 in Fostoria to Dustin and Edith (Keckler) Cramer Sr. She married Calvin D. Craft on Aug. 6, 1950, and he died April 11, 1994.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. William (Mary M.) Marker, Oak Harbor; a foster son, Calvin Neville, Findlay; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Dusty Jr., Billy, Lacy and Teddy Cramer, all of Fostoria; and two sisters, Patricia Harris, Sandusky; and Connie Miller, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Calhoun.

Mrs. Craft was a homemaker.

Jack L. Crawford, 71, of East Lytle St., Fostoria, died at 10:24 p.m. at the Toledo Hospital. He was born Nov. 17, 1929 to Arthur S. and Lena M. (Hanna) Crawford, Sr. On Oct. 10, 1959 he married Nancilee Sherick. She died March 6, 1999.

Surviving include: two sons, W. Tod Crawford of Fostoria and Ricky L. Crawford of Lebanon; two daughters, Tammy L. Clark and Melanie Crawford, both of Fostoria; two brothers, Charles and Bob Crawford, both of Fostoria; four sisters, Mrs. Wanda Stevens, Mrs. Donna Fettro and Mrs. Carolyn Tolbert, all of Fostoria, and Mrs. Ann Walters, of Fla.; and five grandchildren.

Deceased are: a brother, Arthur Crawford; and a sister, Bernice Keckler.

Mr. Crawford retired from Union Carbide Corporation in 1983. He was a member of Dillon Road Baptist Church in Fostoria.

Mrs. Collet died at 10:22 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2001 at Fostoria Community Hospital.

She was born April 23, 1913 in New Riegel to Lewis M. and Helen (Wangler) Theis. She married Florian J. "Ike" Collet on Jan. 6, 1934 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel, and he died May 9, 1991.

Surviving are two sons, Donald P. of Watersmeet, Mich.; and Norbert H. of Fostoria; a daughter, Mrs. Ken (Darlene) Landry, Fostoria; five grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Theis, Alvada; and Carl "Mickey" Theis, New Riegel; and four sisters, Mrs. Cyrill (Delores) Falter, Huron; Mrs. Burdette (Rosemary) Snavely, Fostoria; and Mrs. Richard (Ruth) Smith and Elizabeth Smith, both of Tiffin.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Oleta Kelbley; and an infant brother, James Theis. Mrs.

Collet was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bascom, and its Rosary-Altar Society; St. Wendelin Catholic Church; and Catholic Knights of Ohio branch 52, New Riegel. She was a former volunteer for Seneca County Community Hospice, American Red Cross and Good Shepherd Home.

James E. "Jim" Cassidy, 70, of 41 S. Township Road 59, Fostoria, died at 1:13 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2001 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.

He was born Jan. 14, 1931 in Leopold, Ind. to William Edgar and Mary Ellen (Peter) Cassidy. He married Catherine A. "Mike" Frisch on Feb. 7, 1959 at St. James Catholic Church, Kansas, Ohio, and she survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Gregg (JoAnn M.) White and Mrs. Tim (Nancy L.) Dussel, both of Fostoria; and Sharon T. Horn, Lawton, Okla.; two sons, David E. of New Riegel; and Rocky W. of Mount Gilead; six grandchildren; a brother, Norbert of Tiffin; and four sisters, Mrs. Franklin (Bernice) Holman, Mrs. Donald (Irene) Holman and Marjorie Cassidy, all of Fostoria; and Mrs. Eugene (Rosalie) Holman, Findlay.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Omer "Joe" and Mathias; and a sister, Connie Steinmetz.

Mr. Cassidy was a retired Seneca County farmer. He also retired as a millwright in 1986 from General Dynamics, Lima, and from the former Fostoria Foundry.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church and Eagles Aerie 430, both of Fostoria; and Moose Lodge 872 and American Legion Post 354, both of New Riegel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by American Legion.

Visitation will be held from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where an American Legion memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. and a Christian wake service at 8:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m. Monday at the church.

DIXIE, PHILLIP E., Sr.

Mr. Dixie died of natural causes at 9:53 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2001 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

He was born June 29, 1952 in Fort Wayne, Ind. to Curtis L. and Mary L. (Samuel) Dixie Jr. His father survives in Fostoria and his mother survives in Findlay. He married Deanna Jo VanAtta, and they were divorced. He then married Brenda Newsome, and they were divorced.

Surviving are two sons, Phillip Jr. of Findlay; Andy Dyer, Fostoria; three daughters, Dawn Marie Caudill, North Baltimore; Nicole Young, Marion; Arteria Walker Dixie, Findlay; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Curtis III of Fostoria; Doran of Toledo; a half brother, Mark Tucker, Fostoria; two sisters, Elizabeth Dixie Hile, Findlay; Rochelle Dixie Hall, Lithonia, Ga.; two half sisters, Kim Cousin, Fostoria; Binoca B. Dixie, Toledo.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Niles and Jeffrey.

Mr. Dixie was a laborer at Whirlpool Corp.; and at the former Ex-Cell-O Corp., Fostoria.

He served two years in the U.S. Army.


COE, RACHAEL A.

Rachael A. Coe, 83, formerly of 1218 Madison Road, Fostoria, died at 7:25 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2001, at Independence House in Fostoria where she had been a resident.

She was born Dec. 16, 1917, in Columbus to the late Thomas and Dorothy (Poe) Harris. She married Harry S. Coe Jr. on Feb. 28, 1942 and he preceded her in death Sept. 4, 1996.

Survivors include: two sons, John H. Coe of Friday Harbor, Wash., and Richard H. Coe of Janesville, Wisc; two daughters, Mrs. Frederick (Anne) Jardon of West Bloomfield, Mich., and Ellen Radcliff of Fostoria; and six grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were three sisters, Ruth Davidson, Jane Burrows and S. Suzanne Manecke.

Mrs. Coe had been employed at Wesley Center Day Care Center in Fostoria. She was a graduate of Fostoria High School; a member of First Presbyterian Church, Fostoria; and was a former member of Order of Easter Star 94; Campfire Girls; Altrusa Club and Fostoria Country Club, all of Fostoria. Club; and Fostoria Country Club, all of Fostoria.

Services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church in Fostoria. The Rev. Branson J. Hawkes will be the officiant. Interment will be in Fountain Cemetery.

She was born June 4, 1960, in Toledo to Franklin D. and Bonny (Shasteen) Fraley Sr. Her mother, Bonny Cole, survives in Findlay. She married Guillermo Barrientos, and they divorced. She married Jesus Villegas, and they divorced. She married Edward Casto on July 1, 2000, in Fostoria, and he survives.

Also surviving are a son, William B. Barrientos, Bolivar; two daughters, Christina Alfaro, Findlay; and Victoria L. Barrientos, Bolivar; a stepson, Mason T. Casto, Dover; a stepdaughter, Marina J. Casto, Dover; two brothers, Franklin Fraley Jr., Los Angeles; and Christopher Fraley, Findlay; and three sisters, Donna Fraley and Kim Gomez, both of Findlay; and Carla Kasubinski, Gahanna.

Mrs. Casto taught multi-handicapped students at Navarre Elementary School. She previously had worked at McKinley Center, Canton; Old Fort High School; and Blanchard Valley Elementary School, Findlay.

She was a 1978 graduate of Findlay High School. She earned her bachelor's degree in education from University of Findlay, where she also was working on her master's degree.

He was born March 1, 1931, in Portsmouth, Ky. to Arthur and Lena (Hanna) Crawford Sr. He married Margaret Frankhart on Aug. 7, 1963, and she died March 28, 1997.

Surviving are a son, David of Upper Sandusky; a daughter, Mrs. Jimmy (Conni) Zamudio, Fostoria; five grandchildren; a brother, Bob of Fostoria; and four sisters, Mrs. Clyde (Wanda) Stevens, Mrs. Jim (Donna) Fettro and Mrs. Gene (Carolyn) Tolbert, all of Fostoria; and Mrs. Mark (Ann) Walters, Florida.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur Jr. and Jack; and a sister, Berenice Keckler. Mr. Crawford retired in 1995 from Mennel Milling, Fostoria, after 42 years.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria.

CHAPMAN, ROBERT LEE

Word has been received that Pastor Robert Lee Chapman, 75, of Florida, and formerly of Arcadia, died Sept. 5, 2001.

He was born March 12, 1926, in Tiffin.

Pastor Chapman was pastor of the Church of the Brethren in Fostoria and he retired in 1986. He was a 1982 graduate of the Liberty Baptist College in Virginia, and attended Southwest Baptist College in Texas. He received an honorary doctorate degree in divinity from Kent Theological Seminary in Baton Rouge, La., and is listed in the "Who's Who" of Religious Personalities in the United States for 1989, 1992 and 1993.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving during World War II. He was awarded two Purple Hearts for injuries received in service.

Survivors include: two sons, Robert L. Chapman of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Thomas Chapman of Lakeland, Fla., a daughter, Mrs. John D. IV (Paula) Henley of Bokeelia; five brothers, Walter Chapman of Findlay, Kenneth and Paul Chapman of Tiffin, Richard Chapman of Clyde, and Ross Chapman of Upper Sandusky; four sisters, Frances Kieffer of Fostoria, Mary Waggonblast of Bucyrus, Betty Travis of Marion, and Gladys Morrison of Mount Vernon; 11 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

Services took place on Sept. 8 at the Ponger-Kays-Grady Chapel in Arcadia with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

CARREL, RICKERD C.

Rickerd C. "Rick" Carrel, 48, of 1312 Joseph Rd., Fostoria, died at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at Toledo Hospital.

He was born April 22, 1953, to the late S. James Carrel and Adda (Snyder) Carrel. She survives in Fostoria. He married Susan A. Moes on Oct. 11, 1974, at St. Wendelin's Catholic Church in Fostoria, and she survives in Fostoria.

Survivors also include: a son, Christopher L. Carrel and a daughter, Meghan L. Carrel, both of Fostoria; and a sister, Mrs. Gary (Gwen L.) Wisbon of Fremont.

Services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Wendelin's Catholic Church in Fostoria. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

CUNNINGHAM, SAM A.

Funeral services for Sam A. Cunningham, 42, of Buckley Street, Fostoria, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, the Rev. Allen Minton officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Mr. Cunningham died at 1:48 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at Fostoria Community Hospital.

He was born July 23, 1959, in Akron to Samuel and Mary (Hyslop) Cunningham. His father and stepmother, Suzanne Cunningham, survive in Fostoria. He married Kathryn A. Fortney on Nov. 20, 1981, and she survives.

Also surviving are a brother, Scott R. of Fairborn; a sister, Mrs. Bob (Sally) Minton, Bloomdale; and maternal grandmother H. Jean Kinn, Fostoria.

Mr. Cunningham was a self-employed telemarketer.

He was a member of Dillon Road Baptist Church, Fostoria.

Harry D. Cramer Sr., 71, formerly of Fostoria and Columbus Grove, Ohio, died at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, in Fostoria.

He was born May 8, 1930, in Fostoria to Clarence and Clara (Fillhart) Cramer and they are deceased. He married Anne L. Waldron and they divorced. He later married Kathlene I. Cline on Feb. 4, 1980, in Tiffin. She died Dec. 30, 1988.

Survivors include: four sons, Colonel Daniel Cramer of O'Fallen, Ill., Michael Cramer of Ottawa, Harry Cramer Jr. and Kenny Cramer, both of Edmond, OK; two daughters, Catherine Ferkel of Tiffin and Paula Cramer of Lima; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Deceased include: three brothers, Harold, Howard, and Carl Cramer; and an infant sister at birth.

Mr. Cramer retired in 1987 from General Dynamics Tank Plant in Lima with 30 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria and attended Fostoria High School Class of 1948. He was a former member of Fostoria VFW and Moose Lodge.

Services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. Father J. Douglas Garand will be the officiant. Burial will be in St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery in Fostoria where military honors will be conducted by the Joint Veterans Group of Fostoria.

Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. A Scripture Service will be at 8:30 p.m.

COPPES, DONALD C.

Funeral services for Donald Curtis Coppes, 87, of Leesburg, Fla. and Fostoria, will be held at 1p.m. Friday at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, the Rev. Bill Henry officiating. Burial will be in Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay, with military rites by United Veterans of Fostoria.

Visitation will be held from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Coppes died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at Waterman Hospital, Eustis, Fla.

He was born June 9, 1914, in Van Buren to Daniel Curtis and Bessie Leota (Baumgardner) Coppes. He married M. Marie Hobbs on June 3, 1974, and she survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Daniel of Tiffin; and Donald David of Bowling Green; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Janellen) Swartz, Tontogany; Mrs. Carl (Marianne) Dewyer, Bowling Green; and Mrs. Steve (Liz) VanDenEynde, North Baltimore; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Ronald (Donita) Butler, Lakeview; and Mrs. Bill (Jackie) Henry, Olathe, Kan.; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harry of North Baltimore; and Vernon of Fostoria; and three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Mildred) Mathias, Kenosha, Wis.; Hazel Berry, Tiffin; and Leota Marge King, North Baltimore.

He was preceded in death by a grandchild and a great-grandchild.

Mr. Coppes retired in 1976 from the parts department at Ed Schmidt Pontiac, Perrysburg. He was a U.S. Merchant Marines veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of Van Buren High School. He attended First Christian Church, Fostoria.

DILLERY, CHARLES E., SR.

Charles E. "Chuck" Dillery Sr., 53, of South Main Street, Fostoria, died at 12:50 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2001, at Fostoria Community Hospital.

He was born June 13, 1948, in Findlay, to William A. and Roberta R. (Poston) Dillery. Both are deceased. He married Billie Jacobs in Fostoria on June 28, 1968, and she survives in Fostoria. Other survivors include: a son, Charles E. "C.J." Dillery Jr. of Albert Lea, MN, a daughter, Tammy Dillery of Fostoria, three grandchildren, a brother, Harold Dillery of Findlay, and a sister, Sharon Powell of Waterville.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria with burial at Knollcrest Gardens near Arcadia.


COLWELL, NATHAN R.

Nathan R. Colwell, 71, of Fostoria, died Tuesday, Oct. 39, 2001, at his residence.

He was born oct. 23, 1930, to the late Ora B. and Edith (Schupp) Colwell. He married Ada M. Young on Sept. 21, 1956, in Fostoria and she survives.

Survivors include: two sons, Mark A. Colwell of Fostoria and Dale T. Colwell of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and a sister, Freda Parsons of Fla.

Services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. Burial will be in Knollcrest Memorial Gardens in Arcadia.

Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.


COTNER, FRANCES I.

Frances I. Cotner, 99, of Canal Winchester, died at 2:25 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at Winchester Place Nursing Home in Canal Winchester.

She was born Dec. 9, 1901, to the late Joseph W. and Martha J. (Virden) Johnston. She married Paul Cotner on Aug. 24, 1929, in Stubenville. He is deceased.

Surviving include: a son, William B. Cotner of Reynoldsburg; a daughter, Mrs. William E. (Marilyn I.) Fishburn of Fostoria; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at the Cotner Funeral Home in Reynoldsburg. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery in Columbus.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.


CRAWFORD. CLIFFORD D.

Clifford D. Crawford, 79, of Kansas, died at 4:10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2001 at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center. He was born March 18, 1922 to Otho and Nita (Lee) Crawford. He married Etta E. Donaldson. They were divorced.

Surviving include: three sons, Richard Crawford of Amsden, Ivan Crawford of Kansas and Garry Crawford of Fostoria; a daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Thompson of Findlay; a brother, Richard Crawford of Riverside, CA.; three sisters, Alice Mae Bloom of New Philadelphia, Betty Klinger of Livingston, MN and Esther Hartman of Wayne; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Mr. Crawford was a WW II U.S. Army Veteran.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. Burial will be at Weaver Cemetery near Bloomdale.

Visitation hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.


COX, MICHAEL J.

Mr. Cox drowned Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, in the ocean at Jacksonville
Beach, Fla.

He was born June 8, 1981, in Lima to Earl and Mary Ann (Schroeder) Cox.
His mother survives in
Ottawa, and his father and stepmother, Kathy Cox, survive in Findlay.

Also surviving are four brothers, Steven of Ottawa; Dan of Lima; Dwayne,
at home; and Randy of
Delphos; a sister, Theresa Cox, Ottawa; a stepbrother, James Shiley,
Findlay; three stepsisters, Mrs.
Richard (Jamie) Withem, Clyde; Mrs. Jack (Katrina) Newman, Fostoria; and
Mrs. Steve (Sue Ann)
Harris, McComb; and maternal grandparents Louis and Ida Schroeder,
Columbus Grove.

Mr. Cox worked at McDonald's in Ottawa.

He was a 2001 graduate of Ottawa-Glandorf High School.

He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and Boy Scouts Troop
224, and was treasurer
of Vocational Industrial Clubs of America in 1999-2000.

CAUDILL, KATHRYN ANN

Kathryn Ann Caudill, 63, of 13640 County Road 24, Arlington, died early Monday morning, Nov. 26, 2001, at her residence.

She was born Aug. 4, 1938, in Salyersville, Ky. to Frank and Nettie (Frazier) Smith. Her mother survives in Carey. She married Leroy "Shorty" Caudill on June 26, 1954, in Carey, and he survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Kim L. Caudill, Findlay; and Mrs. William (Kathy E.) Feasel and Kristina A. Arend, both of Mount Blanchard; three sons, Kevin E. of Fostoria; Kenneth A. of Upper Sandusky; and Keith A. of Carey; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four brothers, Otto, Jessie and Jim Smith, all of Findlay; and Franklin Smith, Sycamore; and two sisters, Lois Will, Carey; and Phyllis Poole, Toledo.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren; and a brother, Oren Allen.

Mrs. Caudill was a homemaker, and had worked at Findlay Industries and Blanchard Valley School and Industries in Findlay and Budd Co., Carey.

She was affiliated with Pentecostal Church of God, Carey; and was a Special Olympics volunteer.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, the Rev. Bobby Turner officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.

Visitation will be held from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

DAVIS, ROSILYN MARIE

Rosilyn Marie Davis, 66, of 1318 W. Sandusky St., died at 9:25 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center.

She was born Jan. 16, 1935, in Findlay to George and Ella (Hayes) Street. She married Sterling S. Davis Jr. on April 7, 1957, and he survives.

Mrs. Davis was a homemaker.

She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

There will be no funeral or visitation.

DISBENNETT, MILDRED E.

Mildred E. "Millie" Disbennett, 77, of Fostoria, died at 1 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at her daughter's home in Fostoria

She was born Feb. 14, 1924, in Allgood, Ala. to the late Thomas and Marshall (Mounger) James. She married George W. Disbennett on Aug. 16, 1942, in Rising Fawn, Ga., and he survives in Fostoria.

Survivors also include: a daughter, Mrs. Allen (Donna) Minton of Fostoria; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Marlboro Cemetery in Marlboro, Ohio.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.


DUNN, MARY ANN

Mary Ann Dunn, 80, of Fostoria, died at 6:55 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at Independence House in Fostoria.

She was born Sept. 19, 1921, in Wichita, Kansas to the late Peter D. and Sadie (Kooken) Scholidon. She married Orville Mallott on Sept. 10, 1943, and he died April 26, 1966. She later married Dwight Dunn on April 5, 1969, and he died March 2, 1982.

The rosary will be prayed at 12:30 p.m. followed by services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation is 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, where a Christian Wake Service will be at 8:30 p.m.


CRISP, CARRIE

Carrie Loretta Crisp, 71, of 2330 W. Dundee Drive, died at 1:20 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001 at her residence.

She was born July 19, 1930 in Wayland, Ky., to William and Mary Alice (Horne) Sparks Sr. She married Oscar Paul Crisp on Dec. 14, 1946, and he died on May 18, 1990.

Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Philip (Alice Sue "Suzy") Hosman, Findlay; two sons, David Paul of Fostoria; and Duane Allan of Lodi; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ida F. Walter and Louise Wise, both of Findlay; Annabel Howard, Fostoria; and Dorothy Lenhart, Upper Sandusky; and a brother, William Sparks Jr., Delbarton, W. Va.
