"Northfork" rated

Set in 1955, the small town of Northfork, Montana is doomed
to be swept away by a new dam being built. With it will go
the home of a dying 9 year old orphan (Duel Farnes) cared
for by the town's priest (Nick Nolte), who represents the
last bit of innocence. A group of gypsies seek the adoption
of the boy. The boys imagination carries him through and he
is able to break away. Also stars James Woods, Claire Forlani,
Daryl Hannah, Josh Barker, Peter Coyote, Anthony Edwards,
and Mark Polish. Written and directed by Michael Polish.

"Bad Boys II" rated

Detectives Mike Lowrey(Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett(Martin
Lawrence) are back, what a team.... They have been assigned
to a task force investigating the flow of designer ecstasy
into Miami. After investigating they find a vicious kingpin
whose ambitions to take over the drug trade has started a
turf war. Mike has fallen for Marcus' sister (Theresa Randle)
and this causes friction. Lots of action, laughter, and a
half decent story line. Also stars Jordi Molia, Joe Pantoliano,
and Gabrielle Union. Directed by Michal Bay.

"Seabiscuit" rated

In the 1930's America was in a depression and horse racing
was a great diversion. It follows the early life of three
men, Charles Howard (Jeff Bridges)a man who made his money
in cars, Red Pollard (Tobey Maguire) an ex-fighter turned
horse jockey, and Tom Smith (Chris Cooper) a Wild West performer
who becomes a horse trainer. These three finally meet and
have a great love for Seabiscuit, a knobby-kneed horse. Together
these men and their horse lift a nation out of despair. Also
stars Elizabeth Banks, William H Macy, and Gary Stevens. Based
on the book by Linda Hillenbrand and directed by Gary Ross.

"Whale Rider" rated

In a small New Zealand village, Maori claim descent from Paikea,
the Whale Rider. It is always a male heir who had become chief.
The time is now and the Chief's eldest son fathers twins -
a boy and girl, but his wife and the boy die in childbirth
and there is only the girl, Pai (Keisha Castle-Hughes). Grief
stricken, her father leaves and she is raised by her grandparents.
A herd of whales are responding towards Pai and their twin
destinies. Lovely scenery from New Zealand. Also stars Rawiri
Paratene, Vicky Haughton, and Cliff Curtis. Written and directed
by Niki Caro.

"Pirates of the Caribbean"

Set in the Caribbean Sea in the 17th century,
Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) is a charmer pirate who teams up
with the governor's (Jonathan Price) daughter (Keira Knightley)
to stop the evil plan of a ship of dangerous pirates led by
Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush). They try and find the ship
with the curse of death on it. Lots of action, great costumes.
Also stars Orlando Bloom, Jonathan Pryce, and Jack Davenport.

The girls are back!! Bosley's brother (Bernie Mac) is helping
the Angels (Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Lu) investigate
a series of murders, names gotten from the witness protection
program database. Their prime suspect is a fallen angel (Demi
Moore) and the Creepy Thin Man (Crispin Glover). Lots of action
but thats about all. Also stars the voice of John Forsythe,
Luke Wilson, Robert Forster, and Carrie Fisher. Directed by

Ten years have passed since the T-101 unit, known as The Terminator
(Arnold Schwarzenegger) returned to earth to save John Connor
(Nick Stahl) . Connor is now grown up and is a computer hacker
living on the streets. The newest robot model T-X (Kristanna
Loken) has been sent to stop Connor once and for all.Lots
of action, not much story. Also stars Claire Danes, David
Andrews, and Mark Famiglietti. Directed by Jonathan Moslow.

"The Hulk" rated

Based on a character published by Marvel Comics, Dr. Bruce
Banner (Eric Bana) was exposed to gamma rays and tranformed
into the hulk, a green creature with incredible strength.
Bruce discovers that this legacy has been passed on to him
from his father (Nick Nolte) who started the experiments years
before. Bruce and Betty Ross (Jennifer Connelly) work on experiements
and end up being chased over the country by the military.
Also stars Sam Elliott, Josh Lucas, and Brooke Langton. Directed
by Ang Lee.

"Legally Blonde 2: Red, White
& Blonde" rated pg-13. Now a rising young lawyer,
Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon) is about to make partner in
her law firm. Well she finds out her dog, Bruiser's, mother
is in danger of being exterminated in experimentaion. She
is fired, but decides to go to D.C. and fight for animal rights.
The government will never be the same, great clothes and some
funny lines. Also stars Jennifer Coolidge, Luke Wilson, Bob
Newhart, Sally Field, and Regina King. Directed by Charles
Herman-Wurmfeld.
